Added 2022-02-13 14:03:44 +0000 UTC
It's time to submit your comment on the rest of Pokémon Legends: Arceus! Just to be clear, if you aren't done with the game yet you can still submit a comment about what you've played so far. We'll also be covering the endgame content, but we'll segment it out for the back half of the discussion just in case you haven't finished that yet.
Don't write a long review, please keep your one comment to around the length of a tweet. We want to get to as many comments as possible. Submit a comment below and please get specific. Let's get specific, submit a comment about your favorite Miss Fortune sister, sidequest, character line, item, area on a map, fight, anything specific. The more specific you are, the higher the odds of us reading your comment during the discussion. We'll finish collecting comments on Tuesday morning.
We're recording The Deepest Dive on Pokémon Legends: Arceus on Tuesday night at 7pm Central on MinnMax's Twitch channel. So you have until early Tuesday morning to submit your comment.

spoilers if you havent beat it ... the prof giving you the other two starters when you beat the game is awesome, this is something I remember hearing rumors about on the play ground at school when gen 1 dropped, so cool to see it be true now

2022-02-15 20:15:15 +0000 UTCThis may be too broad of a comment, but this game has given me the biggest bond that I’ve ever had with my Pokémon. The game strips away any barriers to learning moves, changing Pokemon attributes, or requiring certain types to progress through the story, which means that I choose my party based solely on which Pokémon I like to spend the most time with. Along with seeing my Pokemon in the stable and interacting with them in the field whenever I want, I don't think I have ever been more connected to the Pokémon in a Pokémon game.

2022-02-15 18:11:43 +0000 UTCBefore we battle Avalugg, we see Gaeric pop a squat and then the screen fades to black as he makes the balms. We can only assume how he makes them....

2022-02-15 17:44:22 +0000 UTCThis game uniquely solves the issue of excessive fast traveling. I feel like I've memorized these maps just because of the ease of collecting resources, and more than that, the allure of potentially finding shiny pokemon. I don't think any other franchise could make me fast travel less than this one.

2022-02-15 15:26:28 +0000 UTCThe Origin Ball, the red crystalline pokeball used to catch either Palkia or Dialga, is often being compared to an original master ball. But for me, it actually looks almost identical to a “Cherish Ball” which is an unobtainable pokeball in the modern series that your event only Pokémon come contained in. It would make sense that those extra rare event only Pokémon need to be contained in something special, and a version of this Original ball seems to be it.

2022-02-15 12:17:51 +0000 UTCBen loves his specific comments so here we go. When you find zerora in the ice caves, it's eyes have a super cool glow when you're far away, and disappears as you get close. Also, seeing the alpha's eyes glowing red even through the inventory screen is incredibly intimidating.

2022-02-15 11:45:41 +0000 UTCSo how bout that Arceus fight? It was the first overworld fight that made me sweat. The reward for beating it is an Arceus and a tablet that grants Arceus the ability to switch to an advantageous typing - mid-battle!

2022-02-15 08:42:09 +0000 UTCThis is my first Pokemon game since Leaf Green on the GameBoy Advance and I've been enjoying it thus far! But I gotta say, when Kamado banished me from the village and the Galaxy Team, I was extremely salty. I risked my life and labored for this man and this organization and he has the audacity to hurl baseless accusations and then order me to “restore our world to its rightful state?” Followed by Beni the potato mochi man transforming into a ninja and trying to kill us. This whole sequence of events was strange and off-putting to me, especially the way it just resolves as if their actions weren't severe.
2022-02-15 08:22:36 +0000 UTCHow they return Pokémon into the pokeball by reaching for the satchel and hearing that click is incredibly satisfying. The remixed Cynthia/Volo theme is a banger and I loved that battle with it being back to back to back.

2022-02-15 07:17:01 +0000 UTCPearl/Diamond Pokedex says Spiritomb was bound to an Odd Keystone 500 years ago by a traveler. Vessa, the girl who has you collect the wisps, references this traveler so maybe Legends Arceus takes places less than 500 years ago? If that's the case, some of the changes to the region seem pretty intense in that short time scale, like Hisuian variants disappearing.
2022-02-15 05:38:27 +0000 UTCIs anyone else disappointed with Basculegion and water travel? The water is just flat and the strategy of hiding from pokemon is just gone, making it really hard to catch the skiddish pokemon. It just turns into fighting all the water pokemon. Love the game but there are lots of little things like this that feel really underbaked.

2022-02-15 04:53:43 +0000 UTCNot even close to beating the game yet, but I have to say they did the mount system right. Being able to not only swap on the fly manually, but having the game auto transition your mounts between water and land is just fantastic. Throwing Pokeballs from the back of that giant fish is a great feeling, too.
