Seems like I asked this in the discord yesterday :)

Hey Ben and Crew, I thought I would write in to give some insight on the Psychonauts 2 Fig campaign. I was a backer and bought one share for $500 dollars back in 2015 or 16. When it was first announced that Double Fine was being purchased by Microsoft they sent out a message that Microsoft would buy out our shares at I think just south of $700 dollars per share (it was a few years ago so I cant recall the exact number). So all of the investors made around $200 profit per share. It was nice to be guaranteed a profit but it would have been fun to see how it would have actually performed on the open market, would have added another layer of hype to the release. Ps. I visited Minneapolis for the first time this week, what a delightful city.

Hey Ben and the Crew! I was watching gameplay of the first Infamous and I remembered how cool it was playing it for the first time especially regaining health from electrical equipment in the world. What are some other iconic ways to regain health in other video games? Thanks for the great show! Jordan

Did you hear the news? Minnmax is now a place for game, friends, and *burning bridges* (Sorry i had to be the one to tell you). In each pairing, you have to give up one of the two things. What are you willing to swear off forever? 1. Petting a dog in game or touching a wii remote in real life 2. Riding a horse in games or driving a car in games 3. Using mouse and keyboard for any FPS or playing local multiplayer 4. Playing on the easiest difficulty or buying cosmetics 5. Playing a lego game or touching actual legos 6. Anything turn based or subtitles 7. Sidescrollers or games with dialoge choices 8. Matchmaking with randoms or being able to invite a friend 9. L1 or R1 (or equivalent)

Do you game while on vacation? My brother visited me for the first time in almost two years for about 3 weeks. The first 10 days we were in different cities seeing the sightss but the last 11 days we took it much smoother and kind of spent more days inside my apartment just playing video games. We mostly spent time with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, Cuphead, Quake, and Cars 3 (actually a fun game). Do you consider this wasted time? For context, I live in Ukraine and it was his first time ever in any European country.

I’m really curious to hear your thoughts on the big changes to the GI show, and how they’ve been citing you as an inspiration for their new direction. How do you feel about having an impact on a new generation of video game podcasters?

Greetings MinnMax family! Do you think we've become too cynical in the gaming community? I see a lot of positivity on Twitter, gaming websites, and podcasts, but I feel there's always a group of people that want to knock down anyone's enjoyment within the gaming circles. Is it just human nature to look at the negative side of things, or are we as gamers more likely to be attuned to the possibility of the other shoe dropping? I hope you all have a wonderful day and keep up the great work! -Mars

Whaddup cohorts?! What is the gamer version of the Tim “the Toolman” Taylor grunt? -Beeks

Hey all! So, on the Great Metroid Retrospective, you debated captions. I was sad to see Hanson ganged up on so unfairly while everyone else expressed the wrong opinion, so here are my thoughts. Captions are useful.. *sometimes*. I.e., for Jeffm’s wife, or when all the characters have accents and use unusual vernacular. However, reading is one of the only skills we learn that we can’t choose not to do. I imagine some people experience this less than others, but generally, when words are in front of your face, it is difficult not to read them. Personally, I cannot keep myself from reading subs and missing valuable visual input, and sometimes this also causes me to read a line before it’s actually spoken. I think this has a massively negative impact on the viewing experience, and it is just that. A *viewing* experience. Ben touched on this, and I don’t think his argument was given a fair shake. I also don’t think I should need captions because I’m watching an action movie and the volume escalates unreasonably. Shouldn’t that be on the “show maker’s” side to figure out? P.S. It better just be Suriel’s birthday or something, or I will FLIP OUT.

You're stuck in a time loop, and the only way to break it is to beat the speed run record for a chosen game. Once chosen you cannot switch games. What game do you choose?

Hey Ben and the rest of the lovely staff and guests! I have 2 choices for you and you have to pick one. Would you rather have a perfect memory of all your favorite games but never get to play them ever again, or your memory of the game is immediately erased every time you play through it. Also, if you start a playthrough of one of the favorites you have to finish it before you play anything else. -Andy in Chicago

HI EVERYBODY!

Andrew Harwood

Do you guys think that the big free-to-play battle royale games like Fortnite and Warzone will support the PS4 and Xbox One consoles for the entirety the the new generation?
