Lizzie – what effect has working with a record label had on your taste in music?

There's already some comments here about how Weezer sucks after the first two albums, and I have to say I strongly disagree and think this opinion is based off a dark mid 2000s. I wanted to give a quick overview of their discography and if Lizzie has stuck with them maybe she can agree/disagree. The golden albums — and Green (1994 - 2002) : Blue Pinkerton Green Maladroit The rough years (2005-2010): Make Believe Red Raditude Hurley The Weezer Renaissance (2014-2017): Everything Will Be Alright in the End White Pacific Daydream Solid but Hit and Miss — with Ok Human being top 4 Weeze (2019-2021): Teal Black Ok Human Van Weezer Like I said, those bad years were bad. But Weezer has put out a ton of music and there are almost always a few great tracks on each album. Rivers has a great voice and penchant for melody.

It's only natural to compare Weezer's first two albums to each other, and after the lighthearted pop hits on The Blue Album, Pinkerton was a bit of a shock to a lot of fans. I think contrasting the song "No One Else" from The Blue Album with the song "No Other One" on Pinkerton really encapsulates this difference. They practically have the same title, but "No One Else" is about breaking up with a girl because she laughs too much, and "No Other One" is about being afraid of being alone. These two songs are not really the stars of either album, but I think they most succinctly demonstrate the progression between the two albums. I'm guessing you will talk about your feelings on Weezer's overall trajectory during your discussion, but what song do you think epitomizes current/late period Weezer? For song suggestions, I would like to suggest "These Days" from former Weezer bassist Matt Sharp's other band, The Rentals. Hey Crossfaders I am anxious to hear the long discussion of the F Storm. Can Matt keep this show under 3 hours :). My question is does your musical talents /abilities help you appreciate things that are good, but does it ever make it difficult to listen to things that aren’t the best. I am an amateur sound engineer and when a mix at something live or recorded is really bad it completely breaks me.

Hi, I want to know what are some of the most ridiculous lyrics you have misinterpreted? For me I got so many of the lyrics to Back in the USSR wrong, like "On my way the paperback was on my knee" and not "paper bag was on my knee" "Jo jo's always on my mind" and not "Georgia's on my mind" (I was a literal child, give me a break) and "Let me hear your bell like it's ringing out" and not "Let me hear your balalaikas ringing out" (again, a child, had not idea what a balalaika was) As for my recommendation: I gotta recommend Me V. Angry Mob by The World/Inferno Friendship Society. The lead singer Jack Terricloth just died on Friday and me and all of my friends are still in shock. I saw this band play probably around 100 times and opened for them a few times too.
