Oh I know Broadchurch. I even at one point in time, had planned to react to it, one day. I´m not sure, if I´ll do that, but I am pleased to hear, that if I do Jodie will be there alongside David. Makes it even better :) Yes I really like Jodie already :) Other than this TARDIS interior. I would really like to have a word with the person who made this. :D

Nicologik

Yes she is great. I really love her acting style. :) And thank you so much :)

It´s funny you mention your changing Opinion about wether the episode was dragged a little, or not. Because I thought it didn´t feel dragged while watching it for the first time, but my perception changed a little while editing :) Not too much, just a few minutes shorter every now and then wouldn´t have hurt anyone :) Gosh this TARDIS interior. I love that I´m not alone, not liking it :)

Nicologik

I´m sorry you didn´t like this one that much. But a 3/5 is not bad :) Haha, so I´m not alone, not really liking the TARDIS interior, that´s good to know :)

Nicologik

I agree with your take on the episode. :) Thanks for that Link, this police box is twice the size of the TARDIS, at least from the outside haha :D Yeah, since I´m a gamer, I think I would have done the same, if I didn´t shit my pants in a situation like this. :D :D I have seen LoTR once, but I don´t remember a lot, since I couldn´t really connect to the story. About the Cookie Dispenser: They should have made it a Pear dispenser, and make her react funny to it :D No worries about my recording setup, it´s back to its old self again, working even better than before :) By the way, I love the Quotes you used in this comment :) Brings me straight back to the episode :)

"They'll be writing operas about our pointless deaths if we don't take drastic action right now.", The Doctor, "The Ghost Monument" I don't mind the lack of a deep story here. Although our group are hoping to find the TARDIS, mostly the plot is just them following the other two characters who are involved in their own quest - and helping them out a bit. But, like other good quest adventure stories (and my mind goes to the first "Lord of the Rings" film/book) the essence is not really about the literal walking adventure; it is more of us getting to know our companions better and for them to get to know about the Doctor. And in that sense the episode works well. "I love a good hologram. I was a hologram once, for three weeks. The gossip I picked up.", The Doctor, "The Ghost Monument" I quite liked the story-writing of Ilin (who was running the race) mostly just ignoring the non-players and us feeling the Doctor's frustration - but at the same time dropping a lot of information. "I'm way beyond confused.", Graham, "The Ghost Monument" When our new companions were shown the "Ghost Monument", Yaz mentioned that there was an old Police Box in Sheffield. I thought I had shared a map link of this on Discord, but I searched and couldn't find it. Anyway, here is the green Police Box in question: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ctq49DxcyB5HQeDE7 "Call of Duty, man. I've trained for this.", Ryan, "The Ghost Monument" I'm not a video-game player, but I could imagine (for the plot) that this could be something someone could do when confronted with that sort of situation - grab a gun and try to mow down aliens the way it works in the game. And, it's a way for the companions to see the Doctor's way of doing things. "There's two words below that. They're coming. That's how it ends.", The Doctor, "The Ghost Monument" This is oddly similar to a line in "The Lord of the Rings" where someone reads the final words of a besieged group - just before the later group is attacked in the same way. (This is partly why my mind went to LotR in my earlier comment.) "Come to Daddy. I mean Mummy. I mean, I really need you right now.", The Doctor, "The Ghost Monument" I believe the biscuit dispenser was added because they asked Jodie what the Doctor might want on the new TARDIS console. But I do agree that set is dimly lit. I hope your video system doesn't cause you too much grief in future recordings.

I found this an average episode. I like it but it's just ok. I liked last weeks episode better. I agree though that it is beautifully shot. I give it 3/5 and have it ranked 118th/140. I love Jodie's Doctor though. She's one of my favourites, from new Who she is alongside Matt as my favourites. I also don't like this Tardis interior. There are bits I do like but it could have been a lot better. I did however start to like it a little better after a while but it's still one of my least favourites. I prefer it over the 9th/10th Doctor console though.

I haven't rewatched this series properly (ie unedited) for a long time but in my memory, the second episode was not as good as the first and the "quest" element started to drag after a while. I think I must have been influenced by other people's reviews because watching it now it didn't drag at all and I really enjoyed it. I still prefer episode one but this one was really good too. The stuff that the weird cloth things whispered or hissed about "the timeless child" was a bit baffling and I hated the new Tardis interior so those were both obstacles but on the whole it was a good one. I agree that the Tardis interior looked like a dimly lit cave. Or even a dungeon which can't have been the idea.

Jodie Whittaker is amazing as the Doctor in this role. She’s actually my favourite, and her era is really good for me. I’m loving your reactions!

DoctorWho

Jodie Whittaker wasn’t very well known in the Uk until she appeared in a tv show called Broadchurch. Broadchurch was very successful, written by Chris Chibnall and also starred David Tennant Arthur Darvill (Rory) and David Bradley (1st Doctor) Jodie was very good in Broadchurch. I like this episode and I’m very glad you enjoyed it too. I think the Tardis will take some time to get used to. Also it’s usual to be uncertain about a new doctor (especially when you’ve loved the previous one) but it’s great that you are so positive about her this early. Yes the IMDb rating is a bit rubbish my rating would be closer to yours. x
