I'm glad you like the episode as well 😊 And I am a really big fannof this Simulation theory in real life. If you think about the fact that our whole world incl. Physics and Chemistry, practically Science can be explained with Math and that things like the Fibunaci Sequence exist, that theory doesn't seem so stupid. Thank you for listong the odd facts. And yes I definately remember the episode "Turn left" and I do remember that father. I likef him so much in that episode. And his ending was super sad, so I'm glad he came back as the pope for this one 😁

Aww I'm so happy to hear that you like the episode as well and that you liked my reaction to it. 😊 It's really one of the best episodes of Dr. Who 😁

I’m so pleased you liked this episode. I have been looking forward to you getting to it for ages. It is certainly one of my favourites of this season. Defo a 9.8 for me. The more times I watch this series the more I get from it. It’s great having Missy back. I knew you would like her too. So on to the next. x

It is a truly astonishing episode. The mystery of guarding the vault turns out to be that Missy is inside. That would be enough for some people but the whole Veritas/simulated worlds and simulated people story is just mind blowing. I have read theories about our world possibly being a simulation before seeing this but the story here makes it seem plausible. Definitely a 9.8 from me. Odd facts about the actors: 1) Remember the episode "Turn Left"? The one where Donna is in a pocket universe created around her. Everything goes wrong because the Doctor is dead and she and her family are moved to a northern English town. Where they have to share a small house with a large Italian family. The dad in that family is played by the same guy who plays The Pope in this story. 2) In the UK there is a BBC radio drama called The Archers. It has been going since the 1950s and they are on to the third generation of Archer family now. Well the actor who plays David Archer in this soap opera is also the voice of the alien "monks" with the creepy faces who create the simulated world in this story. Why on Earth they should have picked someone well known for his radio character to do this I am not sure. Especially since the voice is so distorted that it could have been almost anyone! "Bill, that was the Pope!" I always look forward to that line and it makes me laugh every time. But poor Bill. Even in a virtual world that's the worst date and the worst luck ever.

Dan Brown with aliens. It's an imaginative and fun episode; and the scene with the Pope in Bill's bedroom is laugh out loud funny. It also acts very nicely as the first part of a much bigger story. I'd give it an 8.5 myself.
