Subscriber Special - Rory´s story and Midnight Confidentials Reactions

Although there is a countdown in the video, you do not need your own copy of the video. Youtube is (at the moment) not complaining about Copyright issues. Let´s hope it´ll stay that way. :)

I love the thought of people all over the world watching this minisode at exactly the same time :) I´m happy I watched the midnight confidentials as well. It was so much fun :) November last year? Wow :) Time goes by so fast. But yeah, not having a second show at the moment gives me the possibility to finaly watch stuff like that. And I enjoy it sooooo much :) I will always recognize ASH, always :D :D

2023-10-05 10:52:08 +0000 UTCAs mentioned, the "Rory's Story" minisode was written by Neil Gaiman (The Doctor's Wife, Nightmare in Silver + Good Omens) and acted by Arthur and Karen (voice only) during the 2020 COVID lockdown. It was released as a minisode for the group-watch simulcast of "The Doctor's Wife" episode. What happened was all the fans would start watching the show at the same time and, in this case, the writer, director and one of the voice actors (Good Omens actor, Michael Sheen who played House) would tweet their reactions to the episode in real time while watching the show as well. Or something like that - I never saw one. It was always at a bad time for me (wrong timezone). I'm very happy you watched the Midnight Confidential. Can you believe it was November last year (November 2022!!!) that I mentioned this Confidential on discord with the spoiler avoidance time points. It was so long ago that I had to check what it was that we got you to avoid. And it was worth avoiding so I'm glad we did that. The bit you missed is really cute though - David and Phil Collinson and RTD all geeked out on details about a particular Classic Who episode. And happy that you recognised Anthony Head as the narrator - well of course you would.

That´s always a risk, cause of possible spoilers. But I would love to have more material to do more of those specials in the future :) I´m so glad you enjoyed this little surprise :)

There are a few others around including one called The Secret of Novice Hame which I quite enjoyed, although it is sad. I won't do spoilers. I do remember watching Doctor Who Confidential back then. It was on immediately after the programme itself finished each week. Doctor Who would be on BBC1 and Confidential would be on BBC2 so my brother in law would change channels before the final credits were even finished. I don't remember this one but of course we would only watch them once at the time. Absolutely fascinating stuff. Especially when you compare it to poor old William Hartnell and his director struggling to do the whole episode almost like a play with only three or four edits! It was a lovely surprise to see this reaction pop up in the middle of the week too.

2023-10-04 11:32:08 +0000 UTCI just went to look if Youtube took it down due to Copyright, and I noticed that it says, it´s not finished preparing the HD mode. So maybe that´s the reason. Usually it should work anyways just not with HD quality. Hmmm....
