Tried a new background style out on this one! I think it works in some ways but could use a bit of adjusting in places. Either way it’s a great opportunity to draw appealing backgrounds without spending the majority of my comic-making time on them!

Lore time!
Apart from her gleaming white scales and unparalleled malevolence, Avoryx also stands out with her breath ability. Instead of the good old destructive dragonfire, the dragon expells black smoke from her maw, and a tar-like liquid spills from between her teeth. Her tongue and teeth are stained black and the stench is as vile as you could imagine.
Obviously it’s not as destructive as the classic breath of fire, but seeing a figure far away in the sky surrounded by omino...

It’s the last year of high school + exams have begun so I haven’t had much time to draw 😬 But here’s a small comic anyway!
Also, Hopper’s father still doesn’t have a proper design and I want to work on that with you, my patrons, so hopefully you’ll see some more polls! Seems like purple won in the last one, so he‘ll have a nice plum coloration :D

I thought it might be fun to redraw the very first design I made of Swordfish. They were very crude and chaotic doodles, and there isn't anything to share that looks nice enough, but he was still fairly cute! He looked a bit more unsettled and the color palette was less saturated.
The main changes:
1) Colors are soooo much more saturated now, especially the main blue tint of his scales.
2) The head fins only have 3 segments now. No real reason for changing them then, it just...

Hi, just a quick heads-up! For some reason I had my currency set to USD instead of EUR despite residing in Europe. I switched it to EUR. Now if I understood correctly, Patreon should have all my current patrons grandfathered in, so the monthly payment shouldn't change for you on its own. There will be a currency conversion for me, as written here:

Dino time!
Allosaurs are definitely my favourite dinosaurs, drawing them is a comfort thing lol. Here are two of them, patiently waiting for the adults of the pack to finish hunting and bring them to the leftovers. This pack is not exactly fit for caretaking, so the young will be waiting for a while. And hoping their hiding spot won’t be found by anything hungry.

Evil to the bone. Cold, cruel, vengeful. A heart so vile as hers exists nowhere in the world. The most dragon-y dragon you’ll find. Basically, Avoryx is a massive menace and everybod’s terrified of her. Except for a little pink dragon that aspires to be just like her utterly horrible mother. Hopper has some big pawprints to fill.

Small dragon species and corvids occasionally engage in trade with each other. Magpies have learned that dragons desire gold more than anything, and so they can fetch a hefty price for it!
