Quests are interesting. Is the System just responding to San's desire to get revenge on Gideon, or is it self aware and realizes that it is flawed and needs to be destroyed? Does the system provide some kind of tangible reward for fulfilling quests? Is it possible for a normal person to use the System as a framework to give someone a quest (e.g. I need 10 wolf pelts. Bring them to me and I give you 10 gold plus 100 system exp)? It really depends on you how deep you want to get into the litrpg stuff. I think a big part of what draws people to litrpg is how you can see concrete increases in power as a result of training, combat, and quests explicitly displayed in the system menu. I personally like seeing number go up, but how granular the story is with how it shows power increases is up to you. I don't know how to explain it properly, but I think one big pitfall for litrpgs is finding that sweet spot between overloading us with System windows, stats, massive pages of skills and their levels; and hardly showing us anything System related. 7 chapters in, and i will say that i am enjoying what I am reading so far, but I want give a bit of advice specifically for this story. *TLDR: San needs a reason other than personal gain to destroy the System* San came from a time before the System, and we know she has a deep hatred towards it. At some point we need to know why exactly she hates the System and wants to tear it down. For us to really get behind San on her quest to break the System, she needs to have a reason to get rid of it other than "man I hate how this thing gives commoners the opportunity to get power to challenge my authority as queen." Maybe San knows some deep dark secret about the system like it needs to feed on the souls of a 1000 babies a day or it's sucking the life force of the world to power itself and that's why she's so against the System. From where I'm standing as a normal guy, the system seems like a pretty cool thing. Train hard, fight monsters, see number go up? Heck yeah sign me up. All I see are upsides. IIRC there was going to be like kingdom building aspects to the story right? That means at some point San is going to need to convince the shmucks following her that her cause is just, and if she can't give a good reason why System=bad, then we have a problem. Sorry about rambling on about this it's like 4 am here and im super sleepy. I probably coild have explained myself better. All in all though I am enjoying what ive ready so far and would like to see more.

2025-12-12 14:26:38 +0000 UTCThe quest appears to suggest that the System wants to destroy itself. Which is... intriguing.

2025-12-12 13:17:21 +0000 UTCA system quest to destroy the system itself is super interesting. Is it (semi?)-sentient and aware of its failure? Or is it merely responding to her desires and putting her own goal in writing there? Or perhaps it has its own goal that its guiding her towards?

2025-12-12 13:13:16 +0000 UTCSo systems quests are intriguing but need to be rare to be interesting. The question about them is who is generating them and why is it. Are there rewards? How are they treated by people? You can justify an enormous amount with system quests almost to the point of them being holy missions that everyone must help people complete them to the exact opposite of being killed on the spot. Doubly true if that quest was given by the system since in that case it asked to destroy itself. It feels like in though that this is more just responding to the will of the person but the prior I think is more interesting
