The facts are clear, they shot first and are on a imperial ship without permission. Just hang them and be done with it - even if they were at the wrong place at the wrong time, misfired the guns, mistyped the communications the risk to keep them on board and alive outweigh the benefits of keeping them alive. Besides that, his oily, smarmy, misogynistic way of behaving rubs me the wrong way. So off with his head. 😜😎👍

But how was he planning to get the Indy to sail for two weeks when they only have two lighter ships to share fuel with it and it’s completely out? Might be fun for Serena and Amelia to get to show off against their first darkblade opponent!

Menes's story is sounding a lot more plausible if you consider that the fortress is under the pirate guy's control. IIRC The fort had a number of imperial vessels docked there, and if those are also compromised, they could have intercepted the Indy with them and come up with an excuse to dock with her. The Indy being none the wiser would be then blindsided by a sudden attack.
