Los Injurus Week 1 of September 2020 update

New things:

Both new tunnels now have AI.  Please keep in mind that while it does work and the AI can easily travel end to end, some large vehicles including the bus, the large commercial trucks (t-series), and occasionally the Burnside may get glitched into the guide rails inside the tunnel.  The tunnel will be widened about a meter on each direction in the near future, so bare with me for now please.

A new townhouse development which overlooks a beautiful view of the noisy, busy, old highway.  This development is located just outside the city, if you were to spawn in town and travel towards where the Route 1 project is going in.  The AI has full run of all the parking lots in the rental townhouse village.

The main roads for the Route 1 project first-phase have been detailed a bit more and are close to what they will look like when complete.  These roads were added in the last beta that came out about 13 days ago.

There have been two shorter roads connected, with one bridging over the 'inner loop' highway that passes through the city itself / passes over the original default spawn point.

The SIGN TEXTURES are FIXED.  I hope.  Let me know if you clear cache and they're still orange.  If you make mods for BeamNG, please back those up BEFORE clearing cache.

New rock texture variation for the terrain, it's the best one yet, but it does not replace old stuff, so for now it's only used in a few spots.

There's a few other little odds & ends but not worth mentioning / no one would notice.

DO keep in mind I will be subscribing to the full version of Maya in the next 30 days, via the indie license model (which is a bit cheaper than the regular full-price of about 165$ USD a month).   I have to pay a year in advance, they do not offer monthly/quarterly payments.  So if you know of any friends who'd like to enjoy regular supporter betas of Los Injurus, show them this funding/support project.

The full version of Maya allows much more detailed UV'ing and also makes a five-minute file-save job only take 2~4 seconds, and can export right out to the game.  The LIMITED version I was using before took a dozen hours to convert *one* of the 1.5 MILLION triangle tunnel models into Collada (beamng uses this) format.  The full version only takes 2~4 seconds and then it's done.  I have been using Blender 2.8x to work around this limitation, but it does add to the development time.

2.45GB Los Injurus update.  Please clear your cache before running as some models may have changed!  DO keep in mind it could take 2~4 minutes on some slower / older systems to load the map for the first time after clearing cache, or the first time on any specific game version on which yet Los Injurus has not been run.  Please be patient.

Copy the entire line above (without the quotes if it has them) and that should link you to the file.  If it is an automatic link, with the stuff after the # sign, you likely can click on it just like a normal link and it should download for you.  The stuff after the # that looks like random letters and numbers is the 'key' if it asks for it.  Do not include the quotation marks.

If you cannot download the file, please consider waiting a few hours.  If the download is interrupted, please avoid using wifi or satellite internet for the download.

The next update will likely come out close to the end of this month.  After that NEXT update is out, I will consider piping it over to the public repository version if all is well, as the repository version hasn't been updated in almost 5 months.

VRAM use is around 5~7 GB on high with multiple vehicles in play, so please set texture detail accordingly.  If it doesn't run well, try setting the textures to medium, leaving the other settings alone.

Thank-you for your continued support.  I wouldn't have asked a penny if it didn't cost me anything, but I still appreciate it highly being on a fixed income (disabled) and will not squander the funds.  What's already placed in the map is but just the tip of the iceberg, and I can't wait until more people get to try the new version when this hits the repository toward the end of the month / beginning of October.

--Cheers!
