New Beta on or just after the 1st of August

Sorry for the delay on updates, as if working on a super-duper Atlanta-huge airport wasn't bad enough.

My 5 year old machine decided to die just as I was building a new one (with money from repairing my nephew's Nissan Versa last month, NOT funds from here - just to be clear).

I actually drove to Atlanta to get the parts, too.  It's four hours away.

New machine is as follows:

Used Ebay 50$ Fractal Design full-tower case in good condition

Asrock Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard (cheapest X570 ATX board in the store!)

Ryzen 3700X - wanted the 12 core but the 8 core will do and save me money to fix the car, too.  Using the stock cooler on this and it does just dandy - won't be overclocking here.

32gb (2x16gb sticks) of 3000mhz cas-15 memory - Crucial's Micron-based ram works well

Inland brand 1TB NVME drive, it was cheap at 100$, cheapest one in the store

Seasonic 620W PSU with plenty of hookups and a 5 year warranty.  I still bought another even though my old one is in RMA land right now.

4$ surplus-sourced new DVD-rewriter that hooks up via USB.

Nabbed my <3 year old RX 480 out of the intel computer and put the 7850 2gb in it's place.

Windows 10 90-day evaluation which I downloaded from Microsoft, let's see just how angry I get at the thing.

I already have spare keyboards and mice laying around, and a spare screen.  I tend to hoard PC parts.

The day after I got the PC together, this intel machine (which is working at the moment, knock on wood) started acting up whenever I copied files.  It had been weird the other week when I was copying to usb drives, but I chalked it up to possibly a flaky USB drive.  I didn't toss the drives though, and glad I didn't.  Today and yesterday, I started getting drive-controller errors on the motherboard secondary HDD controller chip.  Thankfully it's not the main one or I wouldn't be typing from this one right now, but it's still a pain to copy files now.

That aside, release will still be on schedule, for sometime Thursday or Friday.  I will be uploading in the evening so I don't eat up all my bandwidth.  This release will come with the airport largely plotted out but the trimmings not quite done yet.  You'll be able to drive to and from it though, and hopefully - hopefully - land planes with some degree of success.

EDIT:  Importantly, no data is lost, and YES, everything is backed up!
