The Headquarters of the Rein Empire Military
Not long ago

“Will this plan really work?” Palla, one of the supreme commanders of the Rein Empire’s military, asks with a frown on her face. “She’s a single person, regardless of her status as Horseman. There’s no way she’ll be able to make it all the way through the base to set up the explosives.”

“Her being a Horseman is all we need to know to understand she’ll succeed in her mission,” Vault, another supreme commander, states in a no-nonsense tone of voice. Not brooking even the slightest bit of argument.

“If she fails, then she’ll go on with her wandering and we’ll return to our war with the benefits she brought us in the last battle,” Rex, the strongest amongst the five supreme commanders, declares with his arms crossed and an indifferent expression on his face.

“You all worry too much,” another voice enters the room as the doors at the entrance of the room open, revealing the crown prince of the Rein Empire. “Even if she doesn’t follow the plan exactly, she will succeed. You just wait for it.”

All five supreme commanders turn to look at the crown prince without showing any deference towards him. Then they turn their attention towards the screens at the center of the large room, each in the forms of holograms floating above the pentagonal table there.

With each of the screens showing live video of the Gratale Empire’s Main Military Headquarters taken by one of the supply ships that has already fled from the highly defensive space station.

They’ve already seen the ships being sent away from the station, implying that the Horseman of Death has already been discovered. So half of the supreme commanders can’t help but feel doubtful that she’ll be able to destroy the station.

“In another way…?” Palla mutters, feeling confused by that. “What other-”

Her words are interrupted when a loud ringing sound echoes through the video, and a deep black and crimson light shines from the enemy headquarters. Light that completely blinds the video for a moment.

And when the feed shows the light fade a moment later, the supreme commanders find themselves shocked by the sight that greets them on the screen.

Because it’s not the headquarters that was there before, or the military ships moving around it.

All they see is an empty space where a single person can be seen floating in space all on her own.

Yawning.

As if she’s bored.

“See?” the crown prince says with a nod and a faint smile. “Even if she didn’t use our plan, she still succeeded.”

Silence fills the room for several seconds. Only to eventually be broken when Palla asks, “How?”

“How did she do that, or how did I know it would happen?” the crown prince asks in return.

“Both,” Palla answers, still feeling stunned by what she just saw.

The crown prince turns his focus onto the screen as he says, “Aria Crimson, the Horseman of Death and Princess of the Crimson Empire, also happens to be the owner of the most technologically advanced explosive factories and developmental facilities in the universe.”

The silence returns. This time without anyone breaking it.

Meanwhile, footage of what just happened quickly begins to spread across the universe. In turn promoting the explosive used by Aria and the company she owns behind its development.

A company that’s soon revealed to have strong backing by the Rex Dynasty of the Dead and the Eternal Dynasty for its technological development.

And soon after the footage spreads, hundreds of thousands of nations all across the universe immediately begin sending requests for either Aria to join their wars, or for her to sell them the same type of explosive to use in their wars. Along with nations requesting defenses capable of defending against the explosives.

Completely evolving warfare across the universe.

Within the Throne Room of the Gratale Empire’s Royal Palace

The moment the royal family of the Gratale Empire sees the video of what used to be their military headquarters, chaos immediately breaks out in the throne room.

The Emperor of the Gratale Empire falls back onto his throne in shock, while his wife, the Empress of the Gratale Empire, expresses her horror clearly on her face for all to see. Despite the woman being known throughout the empire as stone-faced.

Meanwhile, the crown princess swears before narrowing her eyes and leaving. Having been the only member of the royal family to warn against fighting the Horseman of Death entirely.

And her younger brother, the Prince of the Gratale Empire, simply faints after seeing the video. Completely unable to handle the shock of losing all of their greatest military commanders in a single blow without gaining a single benefit.

Just from a single attack by a single person.

Eventually the emperor manages to recover from his shock, at which point he loudly declares, “Immediately contact the Rein Empire and begin negotiations for a truce!”

Marking the end of their war with nothing more than a single explosion.

Aria

Well, that was a simple way to do things.

Very simple, at that.

And it worked great as a test for that new crimson void. Which was the latest invention by my rather trusted R&D experts.

It’s an explosive far stronger than a nuke that also doesn’t leave behind any dangerous residue. On top of that, it feeds on the deaths it causes to expand its explosive range thanks to being powered at least partially by death energy.

With the explosive itself being more along the lines of a black hole than an actual explosive.

It just devours and erases everything in an instant. Growing and shrinking in size as the death energy is burnt.

And since it uses death energy, it doesn’t even affect me whatsoever. Other than the light blinding me for a moment.

Not that an explosive would actually do anything to me, but still. It’s nice not being affected by it.

As for how it was made?

I have no idea.

All I know is that it was a joint project handled by my R&D department, the Eternal Dynasty’s official R&D branch, and the Rex Dynasty’s entire nation’s backing. With both the Eternal and Rex Dynasties helping with the technological side, while the Rex Dynasty significantly helped with the death energy research needed.

And on top of all that, I also helped every now and then when they asked. Both personally, and through serving as a go-between for the Grand Death Spirits. Who are currently the most knowledgeable existences when it comes to death and death energy.

Overall, it was an incredible investment that I am very much happy about.

The only problem is that it’s a little… too… powerful.

Yeah, just a little too powerful.

But it has different sizes, so it’s fine.

The size I just used is the largest size explosive, which can destroy an entire planet. Hence the space station mysteriously not being here anymore.

A space station that was the size of a planet. Albeit a smaller one.

So this size can’t really be used in a planet-side war. Since the planet would be destroyed along with the enemy.

And that’s a bad idea. Especially if the enemy isn’t the only one on the planet. And if there are civilians on the planet too.

There’s two devices that are smaller than this one so far, but they aren’t as complete as this one. So they’re still prototypes.

One of them can destroy a smaller moon, while the other can destroy a continent.

Which is still a little too strong for planet-side use. But they’re a lot better than the planet-destroying crimson void.

Anyway, promotion done, job done, now I can finish up this war-

My thoughts are interrupted when I get a message telling me that the Gratale Empire has officially requested a truce. Trying to end the war without any hesitation after seeing my actions.

Huh.

So much for the boost to my leveling progress…

Then again, I did get a bit of progress from that bomb.

I yawn again at that thought before teleporting out of space and back into my ship. Where I find a soldier cowering in the corner of my bridge while War and Asher continue fighting over War’s desire to pet the cat.

Oh. Right.

I forgot about this guy.

What exactly… should I do about him?
