For some reason, over the past years, I feel like my power is growing on its own. Separate from my level growing and my Domain growing as well.

It’s like it’s just gradually increasing. The amount of energy I have.

And without my doing anything.

When I asked Fenrir about it, all he had to say was that there are ways for a Progenitor’s power to grow completely separate from themselves. Since a Progenitor is intricately linked to their element.

It makes it so that the more energy the element has in the multiverse, the more energy and power the Progenitor has.

Which means that more and more lunar ice elemental energy is emerging throughout the multiverse for some reason. Out of nowhere at that, since there wasn’t such a significant increase before I defeated Phoenix’s clone.

Fenrir mentioned that he would look into it and research what generates lunar ice energy, but for now it’s a mystery.

That said, at the end of the day, it means I’m growing stronger without doing anything for it. So it’s not a bad thing.

And since I’m preparing to fight another Progenitor clone, I need all the extra power I can get.

I let out a sigh at that thought. Not to mention my current struggle fighting against these pests on this floor.

Unfortunately, as I get further into the floor theme, I find more and more chaos energy filling each floor. Making for more and more random chaotic mutations occurring everywhere.

And that’s making it harder and harder to actually clear a floor.

At one point on floor six hundred and ninety three I even end up clearing the entire floor without getting even a single exit. Leaving me stuck waiting on that floor for days until enough chaos energy built up again to form more monsters.

It was a pain in the ass.

Ever since then, for the six hundred and ninety fourth floor and the floor I’m on right now, I’ve focused solely on infecting and turning the monsters into lunar winter beasts. Which has proved to be a lot more efficient when it comes to clearing the floors and moving onto the next ones.

I just have to lock down one of the monsters while it’s a mini boss before slaughtering the rest of the monster and devouring them with my Domain. Then I can work to expand my Domain after that.

At least, that was my plan. Until right when I kill the mini boss I infected.

My eyes narrow as an explosion rings out across the floor and a notification appears in my vision.

Beta Administrator Dungeon Notification

The timer has struck zero.

The following is a message from the Progenitor of Chaos, Eris:

“You’ve run out of time, Wolf! And now you must pay for it! It’s time for a little Reset! I hope you enjoy my present!

You better clear the first five floors faster next time!”

Special Feature of the Floor Theme has now activated.

Reset.

The user will now be sent back to the 691st floor.

The timer will now be reset.

I stare blankly at the notification, only to find reality around me warping. Following which I it eventually settles on the same scenery I saw on the six hundred and ninety first floor.

Seconds pass in silence as I stare at the notification and the monsters around me.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” I eventually mutter out loud, making my livestream chat break out into laughter.

[LOOOOOOL]

[HE JUST GOT TOLD NOPE!]

[THIS IS HILARIOUS!]

[lolololololol]

[LMAO]

[I love the Progenitor of Chaos!]

[Did he really just get stuck with another prankster Progenitor as his opponent?]

I take a deep breath before letting it out again. Forcibly calming myself down.

Then I get moving to clear the floor. And this time I clear it much faster than my first attempt.

After that, I clear the next floor faster as well. Faster than the last time I cleared it as well, just like the first floor of the theme.

But not long after I enter the six hundred and ninety third floor again, I find that annoying notification appearing again with a different message this time.

The timer has struck zero.

The following is a message from the Progenitor of Chaos, Eris:

“You’ve run out of time again, Wolf! Don’t worry! You’ll clear the first five floors in time one of these days! The timer lasts a different amount of time every reset after all!

It’ll eventually give you enough time!”

Special Feature of the Floor Theme has now activated.

Reset.

The user will now be sent back to the 691st floor.

The timer will now be reset.

I want to punch her.

Can I punch her?

I really want to punch her and this stupid timer.

Is she learning these tricks from Loki, or did she use them before Loki?

I know Loki and Eris are both very old amongst the Progenitors, but I think Eris is older.

Then again, being a prankster seems to fit Eris more than Loki. Simply because Eris is the Progenitor of Chaos while Loki is the Progenitor of Illusions.

And being a prankster seems to fit chaos a bit more than illusions.

Anyway, I quickly get to work clearing the floor. Only for the reset to happen moments after entering the next floor.

Then I clear the floor again and move onto the next one again. And then the next one after it, and the one after.

With me being reset a few minutes after entering that floor.

Over and over again, I end up failing miserably to get through the first five floors. No matter how fast I try to clear the floors.

Time gradually passes as I repeat the stupid floors more times than I care to remember. And it’s even worse because I don’t actually get to see the timer.

So it ends up taking me an entire three months just to get past the first five floors.

After which I find myself appearing on a floor with over twice as much chaos energy as the six hundred and ninety fifth floor.

“This floor theme sucks,” I mutter out loud while staring blankly at the monsters in front of me.
