The simulator is complete, and that brings hefty improvements to its speed.

When you finish an event, the computer simulates shows for your competitors. This can take a while right now, where you see a loading indicator until you get to the viewership page and news.

I'm sorry it's been a while since the last post. I've been continuously working on porting the game to the offline version, and a lot has been completed.

Playing segments is done, as well as all the actions that happen when you end an event. Also, we're done with awards, yearly rankings, event previews, goals, viewership results, talent offers, talent requests, the TGI, drafts and buyouts.

I recently finished porting the 'play match' functionality to the offline version. This gave me an opportunity to go over it as a whole, and I thought you might like to take a look at how this part of the game works under the hood.

Development Update (JoW Offline #3)

The booking menu has been ported to the offline version, with a few changes.

  • Talent aren't removed from the booking page after adding a match/segment, allowing them to be booked more than once without the Re-book artifact.

I've been hard at work finishing the rest of the 'Manage' menu actions, and they're all done!

You can see that everything loads much faster, like Titles and Indies, which would take a long time to load on the web version.

Let's write out the detailed spec for the next feature: Deeper Injuries.


Fatigue

Add 'fatigue' attribute to superstars that affects chances of getting injured. Starts at 0 and can go up to 100.

Chance of injury is low (0.5%) at 0%, goes up with fatigue, e.g medium (2.5%) at 50%, high (10%) at 80%.

Fatigue goes up with each match, depends on match gimmick, number of participants, traits, age and weekly show.

Development Update (Staff Improvements #2)

Last week, I showed you a new action for producers so you can take advantage of hiring multiple staff members. This week, we add a new task for doctors.

Doctors can be assigned to rehab talent, allowing them to return sooner. One doctor can rehab one talent at a time, and each month, the doctor can try to reduce the injury time, the chances of which depend on the skill of the doctor.

Work starts on the new Staff Improvements update with an oft-requested feature: the ability to hire multiple staff members per role.

Hiring multiple Trainers, Talent Managers and Scouts will allow you to train/recruit/scout/reassure more than one talent at a time. When adding a task, like training talent, you can select which staff member to use.
