A possible solution to the raffle issue!
Added 2021-05-16 16:23:28 +0000 UTCSo I've talked to my partner and she came up with a brilliant idea that I'm totally on board with! Instead of a raffle or first come first serve, I may A.) ask a question about myself and the person with the closest/most unique/funniest answer will be chosen. B.) Have patrons post something that pulls some sort of emotion like joy, sadness, fear etc or C.) Have a random guessing numbers game (Lame, I know, but I run out of ideas, sometimes)!
This should help for people who are in different time zones as well as bring folks together, share tidbits about myself, and realize that numbers are infinite and you should feel the existential dread of how big of a number infinity actually is! Fun!
Still mulling this over but this is the best solution so far!

Whoops, submitted the comment early, but I was gonna say that with that tier, that's a really good idea, having folks submit their ideas and I make a selection from them. I'll definitely take everything you've told me to consideration. Thanks so so much for your input!

2021-05-17 21:35:52 +0000 UTCI actually have something similar to that once i reach 100 patrons. I'll open up a $10 Tier for folks to get a fully completed piece from me. The reason I have it set up like that is because I work full-time, (10hrs/day, 6days/week)

2021-05-17 21:33:48 +0000 UTCTheres also the option to make Patrons eligible for exclusive cheap commission slots, which I know some people prefer over art reward tiers which can fill up. Like I know some people instead of having x $50 sketch tiers, they just open up x $45 patreon commission slots for $5 patrons, to net the same amount of support but not lock anyone out of the chance to get something.

2021-05-17 15:43:44 +0000 UTCNo worries! Instead of a YCH too you can just have it be a 'submit ideas to be drawn and I choose my favorites' thing which I've also seen Scott do. Technically not a raffle but the same gist. Can give preference to people who havnt been chosen in a while too.

2021-05-17 15:40:19 +0000 UTCI had seen that Fidchell did something similar and I thought about it. My thing, however, is I'm horrible with numbers/keeping track of them and, for the most part, tech illiterate, so spreadsheets like scott made are super intimidating to me. So I'm doing something more up my alley by picking people's brains about random subjects that everyone can participate in. I also notice when folks participate in my events like YCHs and not win even after bidding many times, so I'll approach them and make them an offer. I'm going to do that here as well, but instead of making an offer, I'll outright choose them depending on how long they've been a patron here. Thank you for the feedback! Always appreciate hearin' from folks~

2021-05-17 07:54:28 +0000 UTCI know that like, Scott Calico essentially gives all patrons 'points' monthly which they can spend on YCH's or commission slot auctions, so like everyone has a chance to get art, and the longer you go without art the more resources you have to finally get some. Could also be a way to do this.
