2024-03-15 17:46:39 +0000 UTCOtto is full of it btw. He only thinks that way about Rhaenyra simply because he thinks that way and would plan to do exactly that to Rhaenyra and all her heirs.

2024-03-14 11:26:10 +0000 UTCIts partially a casting 'issue' (or rather, the fact they don't age with the time jumps) - Daemon at the start is younger then Matt Smith appears (maybe 20, tops) and Rhaenyra is maybe five or six years younger then him (to the point of needing *spoiler* in later episodes). In the past this wasn't seen as a problem (though that is no excuse, of course).

2024-03-14 02:06:43 +0000 UTCDaemon gets blamed for a lot of things we don't necessarily see him do. His wife was reaching for her bow and the horse reared up. His fault? Did we actually see him say heir for a day? Or was that the White worm lying? Did he actually bang Rhaenyra? Or just say he did?

2024-03-13 16:21:27 +0000 UTCDaemon isn't some creep tho to be fair, he loves Rhaenyra and people seem to forget hes a full Targaryen who had sibling parents, so of course he's not gonna find it wrong or unusual. It's just the Targaryen way, same as Dany still wanting Jon & genuinely believing, they were meant to be together. It isn't like Daemon loved or got on with his 1st wife and I'm sure he didn't even kill her in the book, this was just added, while they cut all his emotional scenes out or down to bear minimum. I'd get calling him a creep if he was a perv who Rhaenyra age isn't what he likes, paedo only go for kids of specif ages (Sir Meryn Trant/ Walder Frey etc from GOT.) Daemon would want Rhaenyra if she was older or same age as him. He values the Valerian blood just like many of them do, so cant make him a creep without calling out the rest. It's actually Criston who turns out to be the big problem after all. Daemon truly wants Rhaenyra to be happy hence why he asked if she wanted this. Rhaenyra always wanted Daemon, Criston was a grown ass man that made a choice so can't blame it all on Rhaenyra. She is actually the child, who was drunk and a virgin. Criston knew what he was doing then regretted it and tried to get his honour back by stealing Rhaenyra lol. That's ludicrous and selfish of him actually not her. Rhaenyra was naive yes but this is all new to her, she wanted to control at least who she loses it too. and wasn't Cristons first time.

2024-03-13 02:47:33 +0000 UTCThe thing I love about this show is how ambiguous it can be with motivations and intentions. It purposely skips over details so it can be taken in different ways. Did Daemon actually intend to kill his wife, or was it an accident that he leaned into? What were Criston's reasons for attacking Joffrey, and was Joffrey actually threatening him or did he just choose his words poorly? You'll get different answers depending who you ask. Which is great, because our perception of who the 'villains' and 'heroes' of the show are really depend on what we believe, not objectively.

2024-03-12 22:19:11 +0000 UTCI personally think Otto is full of shit with his threat to Alicent about Rhaenyra killing her kids, we literally saw Rhaenyra being like "what the people want don't matter" in the last episode, also we know the lords are either super honorable or pussies, no one standing up to the dragons. But also, we see Rhaenys worry about the same thing with Rhaenyra and her potential children's lives, so to me it's like why we can't we all be friends you know, like no one has to kill anyone kids if we supporting each other LMAO. Though fun lore fact i guess, the episode title is the house motto for the Hightowers.

2024-03-12 19:01:04 +0000 UTCAn agreement between two lasts until one of the two breaks it, Joffrey was subtly threatening Cole, besides, the queen knows it, she should have said it and Cole should be punished, I imagine that because she is the princess things get more complicated, No? The fact that Alisent has appeared in green is a declaration of war, as they explain, she is the queen and should wear the Targaryan colors. It took you a long time to see it 😂😂😂😂 please don't take so long with the rest. I love your reactions

2024-03-12 17:53:29 +0000 UTCYou mentioned the time jumps. Just remember that for Episode 6. Otherwise, with the first scene, you're going to be VERY confused lol

2024-03-12 16:52:49 +0000 UTCHe didn't kill him for that, and no he didn't threaten him lol. He was trying to build a coalition so if they were to go down, all of them would... or they'd stick together and fight it. He killed him b/c of shame & guilt. Someone knowing about what happened, and being able to see through him to know it, triggered his rage.

2024-03-12 15:34:12 +0000 UTCWell Otto is gone because of his own actions lol if Alicent don’t see that then she’s slow…he’s the one that has been trying to have Aegon as heir and Alicent know that but chose to stay silent. Also daemon was forced to marry at 16 and never liked his wife and she in turn didn’t like him lol he always didn’t like the fact he couldn’t choose his own wife.
