2024-02-06 13:53:33 +0000 UTCYes I totally agree with you, I am raised catholic and someone in my family was almost so "blinded" like Bev so this show hits all the right buttons for me 🤭 I mean I also know that we are having here Vampire but the angels in the Bible are really terrified and I can see why Father Paul would think it is a angel and not vampire.

2024-02-06 13:50:18 +0000 UTCi loved the slowish realization that it’s about a vampire and how the deeply religious see it as a sign of god. i’m very much an atheist as i kinda assume ya’ll are too so it’s easy for us to see whats going on as sinister. i’m sure someone with more religious knowledge and better writing skills could say all this better but i just love what mike flanagan did with this show.

2024-02-05 18:38:56 +0000 UTCI just want to point out, that they’re not necessarily all as dumb as they seem in not realizing the “angel” is a vampire. Not once is the word vampire used, and I think it’s safe to deduce that in this world, no concept of a vampire exists. Bev is pretty well proof of this, sure she’s completely evil, but she’s also completely pious, and if she thought for a second that this was a demonic force, she wouldn’t go along with it
