Torchwood Season 4 - The middle men

Hmmm, I don´t really know what to think of this episode.....

Thank you for explaining those sayings. I´ll try to remember the difference :) I agree 100% percent, with your opinion about the plot and its development. :)

Hahaha How many stages are there on your list? I didn´t like the interaction with Rex and Esther either. You´re not alone :) I thought about that as well. Gwen "only" destroying buildings and structurs without people in them. But to be honest she could never have known, that there wasn´t someone standing in or close to one of those buildings. I don´t know, that whole scene was really strange. It´s true, to Jack it must have been some progress that he made. But since the viwers already know that it must have something to do with higher powers, to us (or at least to me) this felt more like a very slow step....But I liked the talk :)

"I'm not the running-over type, Gwen, you know that.", Rhys, "Torchwood: Miracle Day - The Middle Men" I seem to be surrounded by bloodthirtsy reaction people at the moment. They all seem very nice people on the surface, but show them a stressful situation they want to break people's knees, or cut people's hands off, or stab him!, or just kill him, kill him, kill him ...! You are at stage one on that list :-) This is an uncomfortable episode to rewatch. I know that Colin Maloney's interaction first with Rex and then with Esther is in this episode and I don't look forward to it. The way I understood Gwen's sabotage, was that it was against the camp infrastructure like the oven fuel supply and the ovens themselves rather than the locations where the people/patients were housed. Now, where she got the cool jacket and motorcycle is another question. We get some good information in that scene at the restaurant with Stuart Owens (played by Ernie Hudson - Ghostbusters) so we are making progress. I think we should understand that the causes are deeper than we and Captain Jack originally imagined - so it appears we haven't made much progress in this episode. But the series does feel stretched out.

On the same page means of the same opinion or possessing the same information. In the same boat means experiencing the same problem(s).We say both of them in UK depending on the situation. It is quite a good episode in itself I think but, as you are saying, we did really need the overall plot to develop more. The actual dilemmas faced by the Torchwood team in the USA and UK were pretty gripping but the fact that we don't know much more about the big picture spoils things a bit.
