Thanks for checking it out.

Andrew Vignaux: "+ 3 "Dead of Night" on your Blu-ray? My copy was 0:53:47. That includes the "Next Time" segment but does not include the episode preview by John Barrowman and RTD. " Based on your comment, it became clear to me that I wasn't actually watching the BD version... Of course, it runs in sync with the Blu-Ray version for approx. for the first 11 minutes. I apologize for misleading you, I'm very sorry!

Hi, I'm a bit confused with your Blu-ray Torchwood - Miracle Day experience. I don't think I'm having frame rate issues with the sync to the reaction and it's interesting that you are having to alter the speed. Of course, this is ignoring the issue of missing/extended scenes. I'm viewing the reactions against my Blu-ray set. I'm not 100% sure where I got it from (it's over ten years ago but would have been bought soon after the release). My copy has an Australian URL on the back cover so it was probably bought locally. Just so we can try to understand what's happening, can you let me know how long was episode 3 "Dead of Night" on your Blu-ray? My copy was 0:53:47. That includes the "Next Time" segment but does not include the episode preview by John Barrowman and RTD. Now, given Nicole will be changing source this is probably all moot. But it would be interesting to see if there are multiple Blu-ray versions out there as well.

You're welcome 😊

I know what you mean, Rex is a strange guy. I wonder if he will ever fit into the Torchwood team. Thank you for answering the question about the chip issue :) I remember having learned some differences between the american english and the UK english, but I forgot all about the chips :) I am sorry that you experienced issues with the Amazon version of the reaction. Next time I´m going to try and use the BBCI Player if it works out. We´ll see :) But thanks for letting me knwo and giving me the chance to make things better for you :)

Hi Radócz, I am so sorry that you are experiencing all those problems. It seems like you are not the only one. I therefore tried to find a solution for this issue. I am going to use the BBCI Player version for the next episode (If it works using my VPN). If it doesn´t I would be happy to come back to you to talk about the Blue Ray version :) Just let me know if the next episode works out for you :)

Hi! Unfortunately, this 4th season is difficult for me to follow I would like to synchronize a Blu-Ray release and I experience 2 problems: 1. FPS problem This can be solved with 0.96 times. 2. Missed, extended scenes. There was a lot of that in this episode. I also tried the IPlayer stream, also with a speed of 0.96, but after a while the synchronization falls apart there as well, because the Amazon version contains slightly different scenes... I know I'm supposed to use the Amazon stream, but unfortunately it's not complete... (at least compared to the BluRay release) I'd be happy to send you a Blu-Ray version, but of course you wouldn't accept it... My proposed solution: Couldn't a visible strip be left on the blurred image? My situation is even more difficult because I have to use YouTube's automatic subtitle translation. The "user experience" is quite lost when I have to read two windows at once and even have to synchronize... But unfortunately, the blurred image prevents this. Ps. I know you even paid for the English version on Amazon, but it wasn't worth it, at least for me, because it's the hardest to sync, I'm slowly enjoying your youtube cut version more than the Patreon ones...

I still can't make up my mind how I feel about the American guy, Rex. I know he's on the right side and is having a terrible time but even on a re-watch I struggle to bond with him. Oh and in answer to your question about chips. We use that word to describe what other people call fries or French fries. Or pommes frites. Although our "chips" are traditionally thicker cut than French fries are. Our traditional takeaway food is fish and chips but since we have had McDonalds and other American franchises we have become used to saying "fries" like everyone else. In fact most of the terms that Gwen seems not to understand in this episode are ones that most British people will know perfectly well. So I'm not sure whether the apparent ignorance is just Gwen being funny or the scriptwriter making sure that American and British viewers understand everybody's way of describing things. Maybe both. I had a bit of trouble with the synch too this time although I was watching on BBC iPlayer. I don't know of the reason was similar to the one for DVD versions or if I am just accidentally forwarding the show with my clumsy fingers. It all gets sorted out anyway as I can see or hear which bit you are reacting to and get clues from what I can see on your screen. So it's not a real problem.

Oh no....I am so sorry. I don´t understand why Amazon would take out scenes that are included in the original. :/ Is it very hard for you to synch it up again without sound and picture? Or should I maybe include some seconds every now and then, with the real footage to make it easier. I think some people may find it annoying though, so I´m not sure what to do. Yes I was thinking about that, too. Wether it right to be happy about Oswald getting beaten by the police. But I decided to be happy anyways because he is such an awfull person. I do always show the footage 2 times in the beginning because I imagined the previews would be different on different sources. I will make it 3 times though for the next episode. Once at the start. Second time right after the preview, and the third time after the intro. This should help, I hope.

"Thought we broke up.", Captain Jack, "Torchwood: Miracle Day - Dead of Night" We have a reaction sync issue again - but this time it's not different recording speeds. My Blu-ray copy has some, er ..., extra/extended scenes - involving Jack and Brad in one scene and Vera and Rex in another. There was another missed scene (I noticed due to the lack of sync) around their break-in to the warehouse - I haven't tracked down exactly which bit was extended though. Luckily, with the blurred view I was able to resync eventually. I agree that the writers do keep coming up with interesting consequences for what on the surface appears to be a "miracle" - clever writing. Captain Jack makes a "bigger on the inside than the outside" comment when he sees the PhiCorp warehouse so it reminds us which Universe we're in. I suppose I should point out that I'm against police officers beating anyone up - even Oswald Danes. I mean I can hope he falls down some stairs on his own but ... Actually, there's another sync problem I keep running into. Before each episode, my disc has an introduction/preview of the episode by John Barrowman. I suppose it was filmed for the new audience. But I've tripped over it twice now - "Patreons, get your copy ready" and I press play and see John's preview instead - aargh!
