A new goal: a squeaky-clean ad-free site for everyone!!!

We are making an adjustment to our milestone goals on the BCB Patreon! Here’s the summary:

200 patrons (already met!): A sticker voted on by the patrons (it was Emma!)
300 patrons (already met!): A stream drawing compilation poster (we’re gathering your suggestions now!)
400 patrons: Ads and tracking code removed from the BCB site
500 patrons: A podcast/YouTube series revisiting older chapters

The 400 patron goal is a new one!

After doing some testing with our ad providers we have come to the conclusion that… it’s possible. We’d be really relieved if nobody ever had to report a bad ad ever again, the site would look nicer, you’d have privacy (we’ll strip out Google Analytics and the like while we’re at it!) and at 400 patrons the economics would finally work out.

We’d be powered by readers like you! Not filthy ad money.

So… given our plans for the site over the next couple months it seemed like the right thing to do to make this our CURRENT goal.. and push that podcast goal along a bit (but we’d still love to do it when we get there!) We hope that doesn’t seem like we’re pulling the rug out of the old goal.. honestly, we got close to 400 way faster than we expected, and with our current workload you’d be waiting until next year for those to get done, so… this makes sense.

Onwards to the 400 patron goal! Let’s clean this mess!
