IT’S TIME FOR MORE FIGURE DRAWING!!!!
Whoooo!! Let’s get to it!!

Here are the 1s. She’s a fun model! I keep making the legs look short :-[ really enjoy drawing the weight aaaaa, I hate the way my stomach looks but when I see it on other people it’s….. nice. Bodies can be so beautiful

Here are the 2s. I really like the first and last sketches, I’m trying to be more expressive and free-form here, CONFIDENT. It’s kinda harder to do that with the super sharp thin dark charcoal, willow charcoal feels like it gives you leeway to be messy :-[ you can kinda see unconfident lines that I bolded over a few times which doesn’t look so great.

I was falling asleep during the 5s because I guess the pasta I ate was kicking in ;_; AAAAAA I worked so much slower in these, I was totally dozing off. Food puts me to sleep right quick. The last one is a royal mess proportion-wise for that reason. I was really fighting sleep fjdjdnsj

I CHEWED GUM SO THAT WOKE ME UP RIGHT QUICK
The guy next to me was sketching with shadows first so I tried to do that with the first drawing with MINIMAL SUCCESS, she’s also super tiny lol
I was trying super hard to get the shadows right on the second 10. The light was on her back in such a gorgeous way and I wasn’t really able to capture it :( I tried really hard to be mindful of her head too because I fall into a common habit of drawing the head too big.
First of the 10s has an unfortunate skull-looking sketch for the face, makes her look super gaunt aaaa

I’m pretty happy with this 20! Doing a hatching effect with shading is an interesting effect

Can you tell this paper’s been altered a bit because of heavy rain soaking it? Lmao
Luckily it only soaked already-drawn-on pages but it left the book permanently warped. I’m getting to the end of this at least!!
LOVE THAT PERSPECTIVE ON THE FIRST 5. I LIVE FOR THAT CHALLENGE.

I’m really happy with this 20. I like to focus on the face when doing the 20s because I wanna practice with facial structure and BCB…… makes it very difficult to practice that LMAO so this is always an opportunity to focus on that feature. I don’t wanna sameface the models :(

She asked what pose we wanted from her for this last one!!! What a sweet model, people were timid to suggest something and someone finally asked for her to sit. People leapt when the model asked “front or back?”
You can see which was the popular vote, which is so great!!! Variety!!! I’m happy with the shading on areas of this, I think I’m getting better at this kinda charcoal and feel more comfortable with the hatching effect. WHOOOO.
See you next week!!
