Hello fellas!
This post might look like just a simple behind-the-scenes but we also share some juicy info about the channel, our schedule for the next months and hopefully keep your interest throughout! So far it has been the smoothest production ever to be made in JMR in terms of well-being, stress and production speed!
The new additions!!
A real jumbotron

Jumbotrons are a big thing in sports (no pun intended), and in ML we implemented this since the early days. But it has always been just a blackboard with info added later in post-production, with on-screen graphics on top of the jumbotron. This year we went with a seemingly simple but ultimately different approach on what a jumbotron means. A real screen connected to 1 of the cameras always records the action and shows it in other cameras across the stadium!

A dolly camera
Dolly cameras follow the action on a moving trailer. Due to the sensitivity of the camera movement and the noise the dolly creates JMR never used them before. But now with some research and multiple tests we were able to make a dolly that is silent and does not make much noise! We used it in a couple of events! We haven't edited these events yet, but oh goodness me the raw footage looks awesome!

The initial attempt was to use a motor specially designed by k'nex but in the end the sound was a problem. So, we moved on to a far more efficient way to capture footage, by dragging the dolly from a string by hand. The design looks simple, but the ballast needed, the structure itself to avoid both tremors and jittery looks, was quite a challenge!
The Beehive
The beehive is already shown in public and most people already know what this is for. But here's some more about it!

A marble-sized beehive was extremely difficult to find but the brothers went creative, and found a rectangular mold for concrete pavement on the internet. Bought two of them, cut them in a special beehive shape and because of its boring white colour, is it lit with a warm yellow/orangish colour on set to resemble the real beehives! Fun fact: There are 540 Bumblebees marbles in total in both beehives, of which there are two queens! (25mm Bumblebee marbles)

The themed add-ons
What kind of Bumblebees themed ML would that be without some MORE hexagons? The JMA control panel, Greg's brand new desk, the corner grandstands and of course the ML23 podium!
I will not bother you with words, just look at them!

NOTE: The podium features dummy marbles, no spoilers shown here.

The orange marble on the left is our new JMA member Jim!

The turntable "G-Force Endurance" set

We tested it and you loved it! We are very very happy to let you know that the G-Force Endurance event will be in ML23 after the positive feedback we've got from you in the past few weeks! With some fine touches here and there it will be an event to remember! Some teams have experience in this event; will this be a game-changer?
More hands on set!
New member Jim, and Minos were on set to help out the Bakker bros making ML23 the fastest production to ever make while the quality is even higher than last year! There are 4 events to film yet, but the most likely date to upload ML23 is October, in a compact upload schedule! The action, the thrill will all be there alongside 26 teams who are hungry to qualify and be 1 of the 16 teams to compete in ML23 and WIN THE TITLE!
We still have a lot of plans, like off-season events, M1S5, the FreakMarbles that are on their way and more. We want to make 24m LeMarb and Marble500 happen. We can't say when, but we would love to be in a position to confirm them in the near future.
P.S: The shots showing teams are from the qualifiers or are hidden so no spoilers in the pictures are shown.
