BTS GLEE 04X04??

What's the behind the scenes info that I should know before watching?

Comments

Santana doesn’t accuse Brittany of cheating on her with Sam nor is it implied, she was just upset that she didn’t tell her as they are still best friends and she had to find out from Tina.

Annie Willow

Teenage Dream is the second song that got released a second time with a different arrangement (The first was Don't Stop Believin'). When Blaine is singing Barely Breathing in the auditorium, he imagines Kurt sitting watching him. Kurt is wearing the same jacket he wore the first time they met on the Dalton stairs in Never Been Kissed. When Emma says "Oh my goodness, Mr. Schuester goes to Washington," it is a reference to Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, a 1939 film. Originally, Brittany and Santana were supposed to be on a break, but it is considered a break-up. However, in Diva, Santana accuses Brittany of cheating on her with Sam, even though it was said by Santana that they could see other people because they were on a "break." Kurt's work number is (212) 555-1452 according to Blaine's phone. The breakup scenes and Don’t Speak were filmed in New York less than 24 hours after Darren had performed in his final Starkid show (A Very Potter Senior Year) in Chicago. Darren hadn’t slept in over 24 hours, was emotionally exhausted from the day before, and got called in on what was supposed to be a day off to film these scenes publicly in front of a large group of fans. MISTAKES: Finn claims that he didn't sing after Nationals, which is untrue. He sang Roots Before Branches and You Get What You Give in Goodbye. We Are the Champions was after Nationals, too. Finn tells the New Directionsthat he auditioned for Glee Club with a song from Grease, although he didn't. He didn't even have an audition, since he was blackmailed into joining New Directions. * Possible explanation: He doesn't want anyone knowing that he "did drugs" because it could've ruined his reputation. Either that, or You're the One that I Want counted as his audition song. During “Barely Breathing”: When Blaine receives the Facebook message from Eli.C, the icons at the top suggest he has new notifications, not new messages. However, he could have read his message before. Blaine playbacks Finn's voice in "Every time". During “Mine”, throughout the performance, Brittany is seen wearing earrings, and then seen without wearing earrings. This changes many times. During “The Scientist”, during the final full refrain of the song, when Rachel sings "Yeah...," Kurt is not moving his lips to sing 'No' like the rest of the group.

Darren assisted in arranging the the music for this episode, especially his solo Teenage Dream. Which he sang live for. Naya was originally meant to sing Bad Religion by Frank Ocean but it was changed to Mine, which even Swifties agree is better than the original. After the details of the episode was leaked, Darren wrote a heartfelt letter to the fans about how much he valued their support and loved his job. Which made fans speculate if he was leaving the show. When the episode actually aired however, he got a lot of online hate and took a social media break. Fans do be crazy sometimes. 😬 It is rumored that only 1 couple was supposed to break up but the writers obviously decided to do all of them at once. What I consider a fluke: Will and Emma are present for the final number, the Scientist, even though they only got into a fight that will be resolved next episode. During the filming in the park, Chris apparently got so upset that he had to take a break in his trailer for an hour and in some BTS pictures, you can see Darren trying to cheer him up. Here is a BTS clip for the episode. https://youtu.be/MAY6t7Ruxnk?si=EpW1P2wfwXZZECMs
