Not the red scarf ---- no, but it is very like the real scarf she wore in photos taken of her and Gyllenhaal. Might even be the same one. The "red" scarf is a metaphor. The idea that it represents her virginity is silly though. She dated at least 3 boys in HS; she dated several men prior to Gyllenhaal after she was touring. Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, and John Mayer, were all prior to Gyllenhaal. Some might be gentlemen, but some weren't. More likely, it is RED because the album is RED, and RED's various meanings of autumn, passion, anger, and anything else she dropped into the album along with it. An intimate garment that goes on your skin, without being too literal or specific. I find it funny that people kept asking Gyllenhaal's sister about the ATW scarf; she had no clue what they were talking about.
