I've had multiple poems written about me by a guy who liked me in a very toxic way... At the time, I hated all of them because they painted a version of me that was on a very high pedestal, goddess-like, and not who I was at all. Looking back, I'm so glad I got rid of him. Even so, the writing was quite well done, just so very toxic.

2025-04-02 04:32:04 +0000 UTCI've had two ex boyfriends write me poems. Both in birthday cards. The second ex, who was actually a talented writer, had to staple paper to it, as the poem was too long for the card. He was also a talented gaslighter but that's not a story for today haha.

( They were not great atall but I did my best lol) And my husband ( but boyfriend back then ) wrote me two poems 1. Was to cheer me up as I was having a rough time and 2. Was in my first valentine's day card from him β€οΈ

But his poem was BEAUTIFUL as you can imagine an English/Linguistics professor would have that skill. But the poem was also kinda yuck, lol! I mean this man was 20 years older than me and I thought I would be living a real life fantasyβ Twas not a real life fantasy whatsoever π

Technically he wrote two poems one about the day he met me and the fact he knew when t awnesrd the door on our first date that he loved me he also performed it the day he told me he loved me and the he other he shared with me the other day. He said he wrote two one for others to know how much he loves me and one for me to know how much he loves me I will post the first one in the chat it's just so romantic and the other one I will not share that will always stay between me and him ha ha

As for the episode, I'm glad you agreed with Rachel's point that, regardless of Mark (or any man), Ross should trust HER. I get that he has trust issues because of Carol, but those are HIS issues that HE needs to work on. Rachel is not Carol. Fun facts: Carlos GΓ³mez who plays Julio had just been in Fools Rush In, a rom-com starring Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek, when this was filmed. The movie was shot between filming S2 & 3 of Friends. Matthew's dad IRL also played his dad in the movie. And, ironically, in an episode whose title and plot are about jealousy, Gunther wears a bright green shirt as he watches Rachel and Ross on the couch - he's literally 'green with envy'.
