PART 1: TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT ALBUM TAYLOR

Not sure if anyone has told you this yet but I feel the need to since you're a Swiftie now. Jack who she is talking about in The Tortured Poets Department is Jack Antonoff. He works closely with Taylor as her main music producer. He's been with her since 1989 dropped back in 2014 and since then has worked on every album with Taylor. He did most of the songs on this album, Midnights, reputation, as well as doing a good amount on Lover and folklore. He worked on 1989 and evermore, but not as much as the other albums. He was a member of the group fun and is a current member of The Bleachers. He also produces a lot of Lana Del Rey's newer music. Not only is he a producer for Taylor though, but he is also one of her best friends. She confides in Jack a lot and he has been there for Taylor throughout so much honestly and is one of her only real friends in the industry. I thought that shout out to him in this song was very nice since they're not only songwriting & music partners, but also best friends.

For Down Bad, I'm adding my guess for the implied word in this line you pointed out (in brackets below): "I loved your hostile takeovers Encounters closer and closer All your indecent exposures How dare you say that it's" - [over]

Matt

The song you thinking about is "She Drives Me Crazy" by Fine Young Cannibals. https://youtu.be/UtvmTu4zAMg?si=vr39ZI43yWqfVLA_
