Erik Liberman, who played Clopin, was my professor and I can just say that he is an amazing talented artist, a life-changing professor and mentor, and one of the best human being you will ever know! really this show is just perfect and so emotional! @audrey you have to see the video on youtube of the show is so beautiful

Also cannon Jesus is better than fandom Jesus. Cannon Jesus tells guys that if their tempted to sin with a woman it's their issue and they need to take steps with themselves to fix it and that it's not the woman's responsibility

Just at the beginning but jumping in here to say that yes the part you thought was possibly Italian is Latin and that Hunchback of Notre Dame takes place in France. The full name of the cathedral is actually Notre-Dame de Paris meaning "Our Lady of Paris" and is one of the most famous Catholic cathedrals in the world being built in the 1100-1200s. The original French name for Victor Hugo's book was Notre-Dame de Paris. I also know way too much about the church for someone who isn't Catholic in the slightest but I had been curious since there's two streets in my city called Notre Dame

I’m so happy that you enjoyed it!! The musical never made it to Broadway because they didn’t want to pay for all of the members of the choir. During the entire show, the choir sits on the stage. The choir is also singing in Latin and the story takes place in 1482. In some songs, the congregation is the spirits of gargoyles and statues and windows that Quasimodo talks to in his head. Also, Ciara Renee who played Esmerelda also played Elsa in Frozen the musical on Broadway. In the book and in the musical Quasimodo dies too. He puts Esmerelda’s body in the crypt below Notre Dame and he just stays there until he dies. It’s very sad.

I loved his direction for A Christmas Carol

Michael Arden has actually retired from performing in 2019 and is a director now. He actually directed the deaf west theater production of Spring Awakening on broadway which stared one of the contestants from the second season of The Glee Project. He ALSO directed Once on This Island staring Alex Newell.

Also love that frollo is written in a key for a baritone but they cast a bass. Like a true bass. It just makes it so much more gritty. For example like Sweeney Todd is on Broadway with a tenor playing Sweeney and just doesn’t have the same weight as if someone with a baritone range played it. Like ya someone w a higher range and timber would be able to hit those notes with ease. But to me, it has more power when it’s at the top of their range.

Omg now I need a Linda Eder breakdown. Her version of man of La Mancha is permanently ingrained into my memory
