This album was so fun and freeing. It’s just one long dance party glad to see that you got to enjoy it and shoutout to the person that told you to drink while dancing. I feel like you’d be so fun to party with honestly. Beyonce said that this project was meant to be a safe space for everyone no matter who you are to just have fun and it definitely is that, it’s also so addicting, great cardio album too

So many things to respond to lol but I’ll take it one song at a time haha I’m That Girl: “I pull up in these clothes look so good, cause I’m in that ho” She looks so good because of her. She is wearing the clothes, the clothes aren’t wearing her. The strap-on comment was hilarious though 😭 In theme with the album for sure! “You know all these songs sound good, cause I’m on that ho” Again, she is at the center of what makes her songs work! They’re good because SHE’S good. Deadass is slang for she’s serious. She’s not playing, she’s forreal. You’re right about the Brooklyn accent. She is most likely playing homage (or making fun of lmao) Jay-Z’s accent, particularly pwhen he raps (he’s from Brooklyn.) Jay-Z has a writing credit on the song, and people believe that he wrote that part because it sounds like him. Has his flow, cadence, pronunciation, etc.

Ohhh, let me go ahead and add some thoughts lol. First off, I love your entire personality it’s so chill and refreshing to see a YouTuber that isn’t manufacturing their personality and like for Beyoncé and the content they’re creating. Renaissance is a celebration of queer culture dedicated to Beyoncé’s late uncle Johnny, who passed due to HIV complications. It’s a tribute to black house music and ballroom culture. I think it’s a very niche album that often the references can fly over the head and it’s so fun to catch what people miss or even think when they hear it. So, in Alien Superstar - “head on a pillow, hike it in the air,” aka face down, a** up aka interconnectedness if you catch my drift. 😭😂 Thotty comes from the African American Vernacular English (AAVE) term for T.H.O.T. Which stands for “That H*e Over There”. It eventually became thotty (as an adjective? Adverb? I don’t know grammar lol) so basically means h*e. I have more thoughts but I can’t remember all of them. Overall I enjoyed this reaction a lot !

i absolutely ADORE this album 😩 i think a lot of fans were originally shocked at the direction she went with it because it’s definitely something she’s never done before, but it’s absolutely amazing!! each of her albums is so different and showcases her versatility as an artist. i cant wait for the Renaissance film to come out and for you to react to it because the live versions are EVEN better 😁
