Oh I really love this season. Mustang Sally is still on my playlist years later, probably my favorite male voice out of all the cast. I really, really like these new kids. I wish we had gotten to hear them more.

2023-10-21 18:58:53 +0000 UTCFun fact; Prince actually worked on the Dirty Computer album with Janelle, including on Make Me Feel and really helped create the sound. Hence a lot of the songs having a lot of that Prince vibe to them. I think that’s the case with Make Me Feel especially.

I really like the new new directions too. get ready for some britanna next ep :D

The way they brought in the new characters and included the original ones felt more cohesive because they weren't trying to completely recreate the original ones. Even with the twins radiating that "Rachel" enthusiastic performance energy... they weren't a Rachel replacement. It would've been cool if S4 and S5 followed the original cast in their new lives and then brought it back to McKinley as they did in S6.

If you can handle how raunchy it is, I think you would enjoy it. The both series have musical numbers. There's at least one song in each episode. This could be a great series for you and Danny to react to together. But if not the series, I would love for you to react to some of the songs. They're amazing in my opinion! =D

I remember most people saying they hated it and I always wondered why. Maybe some of the storyline is weird, but I feel like it gets so crazy that its actually good again The newbies are GREAT. As I said last week, I do like them more than the S4 newbies. I dont hate Marley, Unique and Co. but they seemed more like clones of the OG's. The S6 New Directions are more unique, I honestly wish they could've switched them with the S4 new directions Can not wait for you to see the rest of this season, especially next episode :)

I would have loved if they left him with his own beautiful curly hair, even if it was for just this season. He hated the gel. There's a clip somewhere on there like final goodbye to the show, and as soon as he was announced as being wrapped, he just got his hands all up in his hair and rubbed all gel out. haha. I do like this season and the new characters. More than I remembered first time round actually. Glad you're enjoying it. There are some crazy moments, but just enjoy the ride.

2023-10-20 08:49:21 +0000 UTCAlso, some goofy things this episode that made me smile: 1) I hadn’t noticed the girls mucking up behind Rodrick in Mustang Sally until today and it was great 2) Puck says in the Tea Party Patriot scene that he’s an first class airman, which means he’s had a promotion since last time we saw him I think, he also has more badges than he did before and he wears them on his letterman jacket at the end which is quite dorky but made me smile 3) Dianna’s cackle when Chord bumps into her is so good, I missed her and Quinn so much This episode just warms my heart, it might be one of my favourites in the later seasons

2023-10-20 07:42:03 +0000 UTCThis episode gives me such a warm and fuzzy feeling, and it really makes me wish season 6 was longer if it was like this because I felt like this episode was back to old school glee vibes! These season 6 newbies are actually really great, and I feel like it would’ve awesome to spend 20-ish episodes with them, but I do think both season 4-5 and this one have trouble balancing new cast and the old one. I think a show that did this really well was Degrassi, where we had old characters getting to senior year and new ones coming in before the others left, so we new our younger class a lot better by the time they were the focal point. I do think that having this old cast as mentors is lovely, but there’s moments where the balance isn’t quite right, and as others said some out there stories! Overall I quite like the characters this season, and I’m curious to see what you think as we go through it with them!

It could’ve fit with Puck returning this episode and recruiting for glee club. Why not bring your brother back who was in it before. Don’t recall if the actor had any commitments at the time like Melissa who played Marley in Supergirl. That said, I always love when they bring the originals back especially Quinn. My favorite new character when I first watched this season as it aired was definitely Spencer, the football player.

His channel has a ton of great covers on it, and since Glee he's released three albums of his own original music. He's doing a European tour this winter!

I feel like he put his anger out on her when in fact he was more angry at the Warblers for not accepting Jane. The Warblers' attitude honestly surprised me because when Kurt first transferred to Dalton they were so accepting, at least in regards to gays. I get it's an all boys school but I went to high school in Iceland that is literally called "The Women's School' and there were a bunch of guys there. Also, you're totally right about the transphobes and them using examples like the Warblers did. The amount of times I have heard "So if I identify as a cat does that mean I am a cat?" So ridiculous. I like the new kids and wish we had had more time with them but am I the only one who liked the S4 newbies just as much, if not even more? I know people say they were just carbon copies of the OGs and that may be true for Jake, Kitty and Ryder but, aside from being the female lead, Marley was NOTHING like Rachel. In fact, she was the literal opposite of Rachel. I totally agree with you on Spencer. It's important not just to have gay representation but different kinds of gay representation. Don't get me wrong, I love Kurt but he, and even Blaine, are the most stereotypical gay there is. Also, it's pretty clear he's not a bad guy even though he comes off as a bit arrogant at first. Noah Guthrie who plays Roderick started doing covers on YouTube and since Glee he's been in America's Got Talent (where he made it to the semi-finals), released several albums as a solo performer as well as with his band and has opened up for artists such as Willie Nelson & Ed Sheeran. I'm also pretty sure Chord improvised the line about Quinn having sex with a latina lesbian. Also, during Mustang Sally, you can see Naya laughing in the back after Heather messes up the choreography. Naya singing Problem after her break-up with Big Sean who allegedly cheated on her with Ariana was something else. Also, yes Heather has never sounded better! And they had already decided S6 would be the last season (that's why it's only 13 episodes). However, I don't remember if they had planned it from the start or if it changed after Cory's death.

2023-10-20 04:08:40 +0000 UTCI like this episode! I listen to Problem all the time and Home is such an underrated group number. I don’t know why people are surprised that Chris can sing that low. He does hold the record for the lowest note in the entire show. (Give up the funk) I agree that these new characters are better than the other ones. I think like 70% of glee fans prefer them because they are more original. The s4 ones weren’t carbon copies but they did resemble the ogs a bit, both in storylines and character tropes. I don’t care for Spencer (the football guy) that much but this is my favorite Kitty season. And we do get more Coach Beiste, just wait and see! 😉 Also you are completely right in saying that Blaine isn’t into the relationship as much as Karosky is. That is kind of explained later. But I said it before and I’ll say it again. I like this season! It’s not perfect and there are some things I can’t defend or like, but I thinks it’s pretty good!

I think the reason I like these characters so much more is because they aren’t clones like the ones from season 4. In that season you had Marley, who was a kinder and not as annoying version of Rachel who picked Puck over Finn. Jake, who was basically Puck. Ryder who was a version of Finn. Unique who was as if (and even described themselves as if) Kurt and Mercedes had a love child. Kitty was the best character to me, but even she was kind of a combination of Quinn and Santana. I’m not saying they all weren’t talented, but I felt like they weren’t anything really new. The season 6 newbies felt so different and it was nice. And we did get to see Kitty again! I wish we could have had these characters much longer, but they came on too late in the show. They already knew this was the last season.

The scene where sam walks into quinn wasnt meant to happen so when he bumped into her that was dianna(quinn) actually cracking up with laughter. Also the girl twin cheerleader played zoe murphy from dear evan hanson in the original broadway cast.

I was so addicted to V.C. Andrews’ novels starting in fifth grade when I definitely was too young to have been reading them. They are all dark and twisty. ‘Flowers in the Attic’ is her first novel about 4 siblings that were locked in an attic by their mother and grandmother and the two oldest, a brother and sister, end up in an incestual relationship and throughout the series they raise a family together. So I agree with Kitty, Madison and Mason, ‘Flowers in the Attic’ is not something you should aspire to.

2023-10-20 02:02:20 +0000 UTCThere's some unhinged stuff yet to come, though, in large part I liked a lot of the direction that took with this season. I like a lot of the new characters too. I think in some way you're correct though, as originally I had kind of checked out on the series before season 6 even came around. As probably was the case with a lot of other people. I eventually watched it but my memories of it are spotty. I remember hearing a lot of not so great things about it from people I knew that were fans when it was originally airing. So most of my comfort rewatches where just the early seasons as they were always my favorite. The later seasons have definitely grown on me though and season 6 wasn't as bad as I'd heard or expected. I'm looking forward to rewatching it with you though! As well as reading everyone's comments. Since I don't remember this season well it's almost as if I'm watching it for the first time lol
