2023-08-23 03:38:50 +0000 UTCspoilers for aubrey! umm just to answer your kinda question about portwell and rina, rina wasn;t planned at all until 1x05, the homecoming episode that changed the trajectory of the entire show because of josh and sofia's chemistry, you can search up online to read tim's answer about it, portwell was just sort of fanservice for some fans but rina was planned for 3 seasons

2023-08-18 12:48:40 +0000 UTCYeah, I do believe that it was their ambition and wanting to win for Miss Jenn that got them into that mess with Ricky's injury. Miss Jenn pushing them and her adding in her own agenda about winning and beating Zack Roy has got them distracted from their goal which is to put on a good show and enjoy each other as a group. I liked that they split up into two groups to work on the transformation and that they brought focus to Seb and Carlos and EJ and Gina. I felt like it was a pretty realistic portrayal of Seb's concerns and I'm glad that they had Ricky and Carlos (two people we don't often see interacting) collaborate. It was nice to see Ricky focus on something other than Nini and for Seb and Carlos to get some attention in terms of storyline. We also got insight into EJ's mind and way of thinking and that was refreshing to see. His and Gina's relationship is just so natural and organic and I'm glad they started building it subtly and had them moving towards each other slowly to the point where other people are noticing it and encouraging them. It's not often that this happens in high school, especially on TV shows like this. I know it's a show, but that kind of foundation is what makes me root for a couple long term, since it's not based purely on attraction or lust, and they weren't trying to impress each other, they just got to genuinely know each other and realized that they liked each other's genuine nature. I'm pretty sure that this was unplanned as it seemed as though the producers were planning on pushing Ricky and Gina to the forefront (which I still think they probably will), but I just hope that they realize that they have found a gem in EJ and Gina, whose ship name is Portwell, based off their last names, Porter and Caswell. Lily is definitely toxic, but I believe she does like Ricky, she just doesn't know how to turn off that overwhelming need to "win" at everything. Ricky has a tendency to become singularly focused on one thing as well, so he and Lily together would be a disaster in my opinion. They could both use people in their lives who will help them to gain perspective and open up and I don't see them being that for each other.

2023-08-17 07:38:13 +0000 UTCDon't worry Lily and North High couldn't be that devious as to sabotage them into causing Ricky to get injured. They wouldn't be able to get into East High. I honestly believe Lily both likes Ricky, but also will do anything to win. I'm sure in her eyes she sees Ricky as separate towards her dislike towards Miss Jenn.
