Love this episode and that it features both Gina (who deserves more showcasing in my opinion) and Seb, who is often just secondary to Carlos. Also, this softer side of EJ is something I am definitely on board with. Seb is such an endearing character. I love that he can't lie so he just keeps his mouth shut. And he has such an awesome voice. I loved his rendition of The Climb. I think that the chemistry between Miss Jenn and Ricky's dad is cute and I could see them dating and enjoying each other and having fun, but I think that Mr. Mazzara is a better match for her emotionally and would be a better long term match for her. Plus, whoever Ricky's dad dates first after a divorce (it hasn't even been a year because the first season was a fall musical and the second season is the spring musical - we know this because EJ was a senior in both seasons) is pretty much going to be a rebound. Gina is definitely going through some great strides of growth. I love that she stood up for herself and shut Ricky down when he asked her for advice about Nini. Ricky is going through a self-absorbed and dense phase and is hurting people like Gina with his inability to see outside of himself. It says it all that she she was so touched that EJ asked about her because he genuinely cared and not for the video that he was making. That was a definitely a moment between them that you saw Audrey...I saw and felt it too. I like the idea of EJ and Gina exploring something together. They have both grown into much better people than their season 1 selves and they are not knee deep in the drama like Ricky and Nini are. I am definitely shipping my two favorite characters together now. Love their softer sides and it looks like they are noticing that in each other now. Also, Gina wanting to run away is part of old patterning in her coping mechanisms and she's sort of falling into it now. I hope that she can find a way to push through and stay because it will definitely be a great growth period for her if she does. Plus, I don't want her to leave without exploring something with EJ! Lol

However,🤔in recent years it has been popularized🥳and adopted🎈by many,🤲🏼as a way for the boys to not👎🏼feel left out of family, spiritual 🛐 traditions and celebrations. Much like Bat Mitzvahs and Bar Mitzvahs, Quinceañeras 🎊 (also known as Quince Años or Quince) hold the spirituality 🛐 aspect. The ceremony👗is a celebration of a girl👧🏻coming into womanhood👩🏻‍🦱and being presented to God. ⛪️ Once they reach the age of fifteen 1️⃣5️⃣, the young women are not👎🏼the responsibility of their🤲🏼parents (meaning they know right from wrong, they can make their own choices and are more self reliant). It’s about celebrating🎊your life,🥳spiritual journey, recommitting to your faith 🛐 and stepping 👡 into adulthood.👌🏼IMO, the boys should have it. Nowadays👇🏼it’s more about preparing🤲🏼the young people for life🛟in general,🤔instead👉🏼of traditionally (for the girls) for future families. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 So it would be cool 🆒 if the boys could have🫴🏼a celebration 🎊 of their own.✌🏼 Carlos’ celebración de cumpleaños,🥳was really amazing.🤩I like that all his friends came together. Gina and Sebs performances🎶💃🏽🎹🎙️were also amazing,🤩you could tell they put a lot of thought 💭 and effort into them.👏🏼I’m still waiting for Miss Jenn 👩🏼and Mr. Mazzara 👨🏽‍🦱(The Robotics Club Advisor) to get together. Gina and EJ, sort of had a little spark⚡️happen before this one, so it’s possible this will be a thing.🤲🏼Not sure about it.🤔Gina’s leaving again. I believe she’s leaving partially because of “the Ricky sitch”. She does not👎🏼feel at home🏠there though and she misses😔her mom, her only family. It’s 🤨 a very complicated 🪢 time in her life. And Miss Jenn 👩🏼 getting that wild idea at the end, why🤔Miss Jenn? 👩🏼 This is about to be weird,😳cringy🫣or uncomfortable.😣 Excited 🤩to see👀what happens next, lol.👏🏼😅This was another spectacular⚡️watch party.👀🎉⭐️

I'm sorry but I love the chemistry between Miss Jenn and Ricky's dad. I get Audrey's arguments against them, but the minute they met I loved their chemistry and I find them really adorable.

This is one of my fave episodes and I'm glad you got to hear The Climb! Joe Serafini who plays Seb has such a beautiful voice. Fun fact: Frankie (Carlos) and Joe are actually dating in real life and performed A Whole New World for Disney's Pride Concert a couple years ago. These are probably two of my favorite performances this season. Gina is such an amazing dancer and Seb sounded amazing.

This is my favorite episode of the season! I love how everyone came together for Carlos’ birthday and the awkward tension between Gina and Ricky. Seb’s The Climb was absolutely beautiful and Gina’s performance was phenomenal. Miss Jenn was holding a rose when she told Nini that she wants her to be a part of the musical. That’s all I’ll say.
