Traci finally convinced Joey to come to the skating rink with him. Joey had never worse a pair of skates in his life, so it was pretty difficult for him to not fall over. But Traci let Joey hold onto him for balance. Also this doubles as their excuse to show physical affection in front of others :)
Recently, I was finally awarded a full time position at my day job. (I’m in the package industry, fitting for a stork, isn’t it?) I’ve been there a long time, so my pay is starting to look really good now, especially since I’m working a lot more hours than I used to.
But none of you need to worry, drawing and animating is still my top priority, and I still put in several hours of working on it every day before work, even during my breaks and lunch at my job.

I have now returned from my trip to O’ahu Hawaii, and it was an amazing time. There were so many free roaming chickens all over the island, so of course, they inspired me to draw a couple!
So now, it’s back to animating for me :3
There are SO MANY chickens here on O’ahu. Of course, I ended up drawing some :3
I think I’ll finish this once I get back home!

This stork going to go on an airplane, because my parents invited me on a trip to Hawaii for the next week! This will be a bit of a workation. I can’t bring my iPad, but I’ll have my phone with me, and I’m pretty comfortable doing sketches on there even though it’s a tiny screen xD So hopefully I’ll have enough downtime to get a bit of animating done!
I’m still making progress on the next cartoon, and hopefully I’ll have the pencil test ready in the coming...

Just got an idea on how my bird boys would dress for Halloween night. Joey decides he wants to be an extinct ancestor whole Traci dresses up as an old fashioned gangster. Or he just uses tonight as an excuse to dress how he truly loves dressing x3

Was in the middle of the animation when I realized the lead character didn’t even have a ref sheet! So I fixed that problem! Here he is with is favorite outfit, and his work clothes. Also he now has multiple shades of grey!

I’m working as hard as I can; I’m currently working full time hours at my day job, so animation time has gotten limited. But Im going to continue animating no matter what! Thank you for your patience!

Traci spent the majority of his childhood growing up with his grandpa, who drove an old, beat up 1931 Ford Model A, He originally bought brand new, but eventually started only using it on weekends to travel with Traci. He always thought it was so cool how his grandpa still drove such a car, it almost made him feel like he grew up in the 30s, despite being born in 1960. Here they are filling it up with gas on their way to the beach. Traci always thought the gas tank was in a funny spot!

My very first attempt at animating to dialog. Since Procreate doesn't support audio import, I had to sync it up the old fashioned way with exposure sheets!
Im very happy with how this came out, it gave opportunity to show emotion, through facial expression, which I really enjoyed doing. Also I remade my vintage film filter, the dust and lines are now sharper and in full HD :)

Another piece for Pride Month!
Joey and Traci are officially a couple now; even at school they constantly have their arms around each other. They pretend to be just regular friends, but they both know they love each other. Their classmates have suspicions, but they don’t say anything. Also they tap each other’s beaks regularly, which is basically the equivalent of a kiss on the cheek for birds :3

After 3 months, the longest animation I've ever made is finally complete. Joey and Traci discover their feelings for each other :)
Also I discovered Audacity to help out with making the audio sound old and blurry :D

Painting is finally completed. This was fun, and I’m glad I got so many traditional cels in this one, but I don’t think I’ll ever do it on this scale again. It just slowed down production a little bit more than my patience finds acceptable. Next time, I’ll only do one or two. Thank you for your patience though :)
