I actually do agree you with the Jake and Marley’s relationship because neither of them or wrong in the matter and Jake wasn’t over doing it about how he felt and same goes for Marley she’s ABSOLUTELY in the right to be ready whenever she feels comfortable for it. Now now knowing only such much about Jake he is a Puckerman and we ALLL KNOW how Puckermans are I mean Puck (Noah) literally had sex with the whole cheerleading team, the moms, and Racheal’s mom but for Jake he’s done some stuff but not even close to that. But he was doing good of being patient and doing all the romantic stuff and compromising when they’re together but if he’s not willing to do that anymore than he needs to break up with her and move on and vice versa. Now personally there’s other things you can do besides full on sex just saying haha but even if someone isn’t ready for that either then it’s best to break up and it doesn’t even have to be a bad break up like yall could just end it and do whatever but if the love is still there in the future and if both parties are still single then see how it goes

I agree that suspending her was a wildly disproportioned punishment, and frankly she didn't deserve a punishment at all, only a serious critique... but technically you're not right about how they framed it with Mr. Schuester. He said and I quote, "Marley, we're all trying to win a championship here. As a team. But you put your personal agenda above that." He did make it about her sabotaging the team's efforts for her own agenda that has nothing to do with the performance. He was trying to teach them to be team players. I don't think Schue was wrong to tell her that, even if he shouldn't have suspended her. She can stay true to herself in her relationship with Jake without sabotaging the performance that everyone else fully committed to. It was unprofessional of her to do that. Either do the performance, sit it out, or have an honest conversation with them in advance about doing a toned-down, less sexual Lady Gaga costume. She didn't do any of those options. I agree that everything else in season 4 and season 5 has been written to make Will very unlikeable though. I'm also disappointed with that.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet... But Nurse Penny who Sam has a crush on is Phoebe Strole. She was an original cast member of Broadway's Spring Awakening alongside Lea Michele and Johnathan Groff. So that makes at least four leading cast members from Spring Awakening to have been on Glee: Lea Michele, Johnathan Groff, Phoebe Strole, and Skylar Astin (obviously playing the lead of Throat Explosion on the show).

To preface: I'm not defending Schue for suspending Marley from Glee Club in any way. It was wrong and definitely not something that would fly today. Now if they had framed it as he was trying to teach them to be team players, which is important in a show choir, I could almost understand it. But they didn't, they framed it as he wants to win and somehow that makes Marley standing up for herself.. not... wanting to win? I don't know. It was bad. He has become such an unlikable character, which is disappointing.

I feel like I should expand on a comment I made where I said that Rachel only knew about what was up with Kurt because of Santana and that Rachel acknowledged that. It's the sign of a really good friend that knows you well enough that they can recognize when the way that they would go about talking to you about something isn't what's going to help or get you through an issue your having. It's a sign of an even better friend when they know who they can go to who has a style of going about it that will help which is what Santana did. Just as it's a sign of a good friend when they get approached about it and they do go and talk to you about it in the way that would be helpful. Just because Rachel was the one who talked to Kurt in the way that was helpful doesn't mean that Santana isn't also a good friend that was helpful in this situation. It doesn't have to be one or the other is a good friend. They were both just as of good friends and helpful to Kurt, they just were good and helpful in different ways

We can make guesses as to if Marley had other costume choices or not. In the real world it would have been best for Marley to talk to Schue about her not feeling comfortable in an outfit that she maybe felt displayed a character of being more wild.. or whatever her exact reason. i don't know. But from what was shown, for me it felt like the suspension was too harsh and cold. As a good teacher, you have good communication with your students. He could have much better pulled her aside afterwards and asked why she didn't do the assignment like he asked. She's a teenager and he's an adult. He has a greater responsibilty to keep the communication open and welcoming. But then again, with open communication we wouldn't have a drama filled tv show hahah!

It's odd that you just mention Santana helping Kurt, when it was definitely Rachel who talked to Kurt about who he is and helping him with that. Santana didn't really say much except that she wanted him in the band because he was so good. Rachel spoke to him about his brand how different he is what actually make him Kurt.

Quinn and Sam actually were cute. I've read before that people seem to think that viewers will get bored without drama in relationships. But I think it makes it harder to get invested in any relationships or care about them when they break up left and right. It also ends up feeling like storylines are just getting repeated.

I'm sure there was no other outfit for her to wear, she chose the "shell bikini or shell bikini" and she preferred not to go because she wasn't comfortable

They did this all the time. Cheating seems to be the only way they can break a couple up. I still have not forgiven them for breaking up Quinn and Sam who were my favorite couple when the show aired. They had Quinn cheat on Sam with the guy she cheated on the first time. And Finn who knew what it felt like to be lied to and cheated on, actively purse Quinn knowing she was with Sam and all but encouraged her to cheat on Sam with him. Later on Sam does the exact same thing with Mercedes (while dating Shane) that Finn did to him. It’s like they don’t want any of the characters to grow and only be labeled as a cheater.

That’s not really why he suspended Marley. He suspended her because the assignment was to do Gaga and dress as Gaga. She intentionally went on stage dressed as Katy without telling anyone to prove a point to Jake. She used her own agenda to make a statement and went against the assignment.

Ugh...Will...I hate how he is always pushing for people to be who they really are, and then suspends Marley for staying true to herself? I get wanting people to push past their comfort zones to explore and possibly expand who they are, but he doesn't see that by asking her to do that, he's asking her to put herself in a worse place, not a better one. Good for Marley for recognizing her boundaries and for standing up for herself with both Mr. Schue and with Jake. This is paralleled in the NY storyline with Kurt and Starchild/Elliot. With how Kurt was in high school, it was interesting that he wanted to play it more safe than to consider Elliot for the band. I'm glad that he has Santana there to counter him and also support him because playing it safe seemed like a move done out of fear. Santana recognizes this and as a friend, doesn't allow him to stay in that place of fear because she knows how unhealthy that is. I love the Kurtana friendship. They seem to have a nice balance of challenging and pushing each other while also supporting each other. I also love how relatable Santana's reactions were during Starchild's audition. Naya is just a master at adding all these looks and reactions in the background to enhance every scene that she's in. All of Jake's actions are just so out of left field with how they've had his character grow. It just screams of the writers trying to create drama for the sake of creating drama. I loved how he worked hard to set himself apart from his brother's reputation and all this just seems to play into that notion that it's in the Puckerman genes to be a player and only care about sex. And the character of Bree bothers me immensely. There are no redeeming characteristics in her. At least Kitty has grown. I love her and Artie together.

It also doesn’t help this episode that it was right after the Quarterback… like it’s very bad on its own but having to be a follow up to the Quarterback which is probably the best of the season…🤷🏾‍♂️

A lot of the choir names from glee are like dirty jokes (e.g. Aural Intensity, Throat Explosion, even New Directions If you read it a certain way). On the “being ready” topic, me and my friends were talking about this recently bc we were just talking about relationships and I was just saying I think it’s important that you’re open about what you want to get out of a relationship from quite early on, otherwise you open yourself up to pain and difficulty later when at least one person is disappointed. Ngl this episode is not my favourite, it’s just kind of boring, but oh well

Not my favorite season but from this episode I liked Marley/ Jake's storyline. Becky is hilarious and that joke about the governor of Texas always cracks me up but nobody gets it. I don't like. Demi Lovato is a good singer and actor and didn't realize until Glee. I don't think I had paid attention to her before that. The guy that plays Elliott is also a very good actor. Didn't expect that. Don't like his singing much, but he's very charismatic. Didn't like any song in particular this time, I guess Roar was the best one.

This isn’t my favorite episode so I only have a few notes. Jake did in fact cheat on Marley and it was done out of nowhere because of the real life relationship between Melissa(Marley) and Blake(Ryder). I don’t mind Rachel in the band but I do sometimes wish she wasn’t just to make it a Kurt project that is separate from her. But something happens with that that you will soon see so it all works out. And you will hear Elliot sing a lot more but Demi not so much sadly. Also they already did Firework. It was a s2 Rachel solo and not the memorable if you ask me. There are only 2 really silly episodes left this season and if the next episode is what I think it is then I’m scared.

Will once again being a douche. It's getting harder and harder to defend him. But honestly I'm more disappointed in the other Glee kids who didn't say anything and even agreed. The amount of times Marley has been screwed over by these people is absurd. Regarding Marley and Jake, again I am on Marley's side. He was pressuring her even before that. They hadn't even talked about having sex but he just assumed and had this whole thing planned out without even asking her. And I'm sorry but if you break up or even THINK about cheating on your significant other because they won't have sex, you're a douche. I get sex is an important thing in a relationship but if you truly love that person you'll respect them enough to wait. And if you're a douche, at least it's better to be honest than cheat. The Wide Awake performance is so underrated. I already love the original version but that arrangement was so beautiful. But yeah, Katy's breakout song was literally her singing about kissing another woman (which to some may not be considered 'wholesome') and was naked in the California Gurls music video just covering her privates, so I totally agree with that. Gaga vs.Taylor or even Katy vs. Taylor would've made more sense, at least back in 2013. Someone already explained the Katy/Taylor thing, but the most important thing is that they have made up and are on good terms now. No confirmation but I've heard Penny was supposed to be Finn‘s love interest in S5. If so, it makes sense why there's absolutely no chemistry between her and Sam. I just don't get why they didn't create a new character altogether for Sam, or if they had already hired the actress then change her character. The guy who plays Starchild/Elliot is Adam Lambert. He was a runner-up on the 8th season of American Idol in 2009 and has since had a successful solo career along with working and touring with Queen. Fun fact: Naya was actually filming the Marry the Night performance. Also, Demi's high note in Roar used to be my ringtone for the longest time. SHE DID THAT!!!!
