I can't help but think they were kind of a last minute addition because some people saw their chemistry in season 4. I think these are the only two duets we get and I wish we could have had more because their voices blend so well together. You've got to hide your love away has been on my playlist for years and I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. Kevin has always been one of my favorite male vocalist on the show ans Becca's voice is so soothing, they are a great match!

2023-06-02 19:32:14 +0000 UTCI’m all for watching The Glee Project, my cousin was on that show! He didn’t win, but it was still fun to watch. One thing I remember specifically about this season was how much weight Lea lost in the beginning. I believe she and Jonathan Groff were on a podcast together where they talked about him moving in with her during this time so he could get her to eat. There was such a melancholy feeling during this season and I never could shake the feeling. I don’t know that Rachel or Lea was right for Funny Girl at that time, she was very young, but Lea is perfect in the role now. As for the engagement, I think there’s nothing wrong with being engaged young and getting married later, waiting til after college or after your career is settled. Some people get married right away and make it work. My husband and I knew each other through Facebook for 2 years before getting together, dated for 4 months before getting engaged then married 6 months later. We’ll celebrate our 1 year anniversary on October 15. It all depends on the people.

Lea to me seems a little subdued in this episode. I think they probably melded her mood into the episode. The proposal must’ve been so hard for all of them but especially her, because Cory and her were likely going to get married. I miss him.

2023-06-01 20:48:03 +0000 UTCI liked this episode and I was a hardcore Kurt and Blaine fan so I didn't really mind the proposal so much. I thought maybe they were a little young but like someone said sometimes it's not always the age. There are people that get married at 18 and live the rest of their lives and others get married at like 30 and only stay married maybe two or three years. So I guess it just depends. But then I just remind myself this is a TV show and not necessarily to be taken seriously or literally at all times anyway. But overall I loved the proposal and I swear to God the writers probably got it from some fanfic somewhere because it's exactly what you would read in a fanfic or romance novel or whatever. But I was all for it.

It takes me back to 2013 when I was a hardcore Klainer and this episode was everything I could've dreamed of, even if it was a bit ridiculous that he was proposing so soon after them getting back together. From what I remember, they had dropped hints about Kurt and Blaine discussing marriage in earlier episodes (like Come What May being their wedding song) and there was a deleted scene from this episode where Kurt talked to Rachel and Mercedes about Blaine's proposal, but I wish, like with every other too-soon-TV-proposal that they would get engaged but then stay happily engaged for years. Plenty of people live happily as an engaged couple, as it's like a promise of commitment, without having to immediately rush to get married. I also wish Kurt and Blaine had had a private moment together to talk about this after the proposal. There's a lovely fanfiction someone wrote of that very scene and I like to imagine it's canon because it's so perfect. Still, a lot to love about this episode, as a Beatles fan I love all the music, Got to Get You Into My Life is so much fun I've watched it dozens of times, and even if it's silly the proposal is so perfect I cry every time <3

That is probably why they made fun 😅 of it in this episode. 🎥 I think some of their jokes are in poor taste. 👎🏼 They did the same thing with the OG cast 🤩 as well. ☝🏼 They always made fun of themselves and stereotypes. 😅

(Though I agree with you, music is for everyone it, but I also recognize the cultural impact and significance of music coming from certain people.) The Beatles wouldn't have been The Beatles without Chuck Berry!! I mean, unless that sentiment is just coming from racists. Because racist, bigoted people ruin everything. Sigh.

It is a small (but very famous) diner where the waiters do sing and dance for tips (and are quite often Broadway actors between gigs or actors still in school). The diner from Tick Tick Boom is the Moondance Diner. It is also a real diner (though no longer open) where Jonathan Larsen actually worked. But it was just a regular diner, not a singing/dancing one.

So, needless to say everyone had a blast doing the Beatles tribute. I would also like to point out that when Darren/Blaine is being Paul McCartney in that one song he is playing a left handed guitar or bass just like what Paul McCartney would play. I like the attention to detail. Last little fun fact Kevin sang Let It Be for his Glee audition.

2023-05-27 07:52:28 +0000 UTCFor the Klaine proposal: I think I come at it from a somewhat unique perspective of someone who got engaged young (a few days before my 18th birthday) but didn't actually get married. I really hate hearing the "they're too young to be engaged" thing that gets tossed out so often and sometimes even the "they haven't been together long enough" argument. I'm completely fine with the argument of "maybe not so soon after getting back together" though. Here's my thoughts on those though 1) you don't know what the person's life experiences are. In Blaine and Kurt's cases (though yes sometimes their age does show) both were forced to mature faster than their peers. Kurt through losing his mom, almost losing his dad and growing up in a homophobic town. Blaine through his attack and also having to grow up surrounded my homophobia even in his own house (e.g. he tells Burt in S2 about how his dad thought it would make him straight to get him to do "manly" activities). On top of that while my own engagement didn't work out it taught me a lot of things about not only what I want in a spouse but also about myself and I know couples that got engaged young that are still together a decade later 2) I know people who were with each other for years after knowing each other for years who got divorced within 5 years of marriage, I also have friends parents that got married 6 months into knowing each other and are still together 20, 30, 40 years later. Sometimes you can know early on that the person you're with is the one for you. 3) I agree with not getting engaged so soon after getting back together because I would want to SEE changed behavior. You can say all the pretty words you want but if your behavior or actions aren't backing it up I don't believe a thing. Something I actually was trying to teach my three of my nephews when I lived with them. I'd look at them after they'd apologize for the same thing for a third or fourth time and go "how am I supposed to believe you're actually sorry when you keep doing and apologizing for the same thing" I'm lucky that my ex-fiancee is still one of my best friends, he's now with someone who compliments him better then I did and he roots for me to find my person that compliments me better. Like I said he taught me a lot and I will always be grateful for the time we shared

2023-05-26 17:16:40 +0000 UTCSuch a complicated episode. 🤔 Marriage 💒 in high school and/or right out of high school is too soon. 😅 It would be better to be more developed as a person, know more about yourself and be comfortable being alone. You should know who you are because sometimes jumping into a marriage 💒 becomes your identity. You should bring that into a marriage (you), not rely on a marriage (or the other person) for your sense of self. Marriage 💒 is a beautiful 😍 thing. Explore 🗺️ the world 🌍 and who you are a bit more, be sure before you make a lifelong commitment. Blaine 🧑🏻🦱 is afraid to go out into the world 🌍 but so many people feel 😓 that way during that time in their life. Again, the Tina 👩🏻 storyline was terrible. 😑 They made her look like a pathetic person. So what if she has some issues (she is in high school), who doesn’t (at any age). 🤔 Also, Tina 👩🏻 loves ❤️ her friends and wants the best for them. If anything, it would have be better if she just spoke to Kitty alone, instead of exposing their relationship. Aside from Kitty’s nonsense, I think they are a cute couple. 😉 At the end, how sweet 😍 of the guys to think of Tina 👩🏻 and make her feel special. 🎊 The Beatles music was the best part of this episode, hands 👐🏼 down👇🏼 and seeing the OG cast is always a treat. 🍬 People say they are for White people because they are a Rock band. 🎸🥁 Rock music is considered White people music. 🎶 That is just something a majority of POC and other minority groups are taught growing up, it’s stupid. Music 🎶 does not have a complexion, identity or discriminate, just people. 🌍😒 However, over time there has always been a war over music 🎶 and who it rightfully ☝🏼 belonged to, including the backgrounds of the original artists. So that is a pretty old (yet constant) way of thinking 🤔💭 within POC and other minority groups communities.

I'll finally to get to rewatch this season with Demi in bc her storyline was odd they just cut her character 😂 So excited to see City Of Angels Ep 11 due to a certain guest star.

As some people probably already told you, its already a tribute to Finn/Cory. The lyrics change, her visiting all the locations she was with Finn in season 2... Just so heartbreaking. I'll never not cry listening to this song. Speaking of song: OMG I cannot WAIT for your reaction to next week, especially THAT song, especially THAT note. Aaaaaaah!!😍 And then we're already at the Quarterback ep. I'm not ready... at all.

I think Artie softened her a bit and brought her down to earth (so to speak). Then she did the opposite for him by bringing him out of his shell a bit more/being more confident. Bringing him up. So they sort of leveled each other out which brought out the best in each other.

This season always makes me laugh and I really prefer it to season 4. My fiance and I are getting married because it's the best choice for us legally. We want to be together for ever but marriage isn't super important to us. We are going to go to the courthouse and be done but it's not required to love each other
