This is such a classic. 🎉😁 How electrifying.⚡️It really teaches you about relationships as well as the dynamics of men and women. I would say probably a mixture of them all, not necessarily in an obvious way. 🤔I like The Carrie Diaries. It would have been better if SJP were heavily involved and it ran much longer, but nothing beats a classic.✌🏼

Granted you don't always end up living where you were raised lol but I really don't understand why they cast an Australian as being from London? That's why her accent seemed off. Could have just changed the script to Melbourne or Sydney? It's been so long since I've seen this I cannot remember who I'm most like. Although, I will always love Samantha the most <3 How can anyone not like her?

I started out romanticizing things like Charlotte and then became more like Miranda after a few bad relationships, and in my more grown up years, flip flopping between Carrie and Samantha. People always ask me why I'm not married and my answer has been the same for about 5 years now..."Because I haven't found anyone who has made me rethink or consider giving up the single life" Especially when this aired, it really came down to how well a woman responded to what society and social norms felt like life should look like for a woman of certain age. I'm so glad that in this day and age, life can look however the hell we want it to and the only person we have to truly be accountable to is ourselves until we decide to let someone else in on that. Until then, experience as much as you can while you still have complete control over your choices. Looking forward to the next one!

The cigarettes are really throwing me off LOL I didn't realize how long it had been since I'd seen everyone casually smoking on tv. When she looked at that guy smoking at the bar I was so grossed out. That was not attractive at all LOL I also don't know if I've watched a show in the format of the main character addressing the audience not just through voiceover lol. I have to say I really didn't like anyone's opinion on sex at the beginning LOL Was that the point? I hope it was LOL He said "What women really want is Alec Baldwin" and I'm pretty sure I cringed in on myself. Even in his prime, I didn't want Alec Baldwin LOL Was he the hottest man of the time? I can't remember. I remember it was a huge thing for a while for everyone to compare themselves to someone in the group and be like "I'm a Samantha" or "I'm a Miranda" and I'm none of these people but I'm sure they grow and I'll eventually be like yep, that's me at one of them. It was really weird to me how Carrie talked to her 'romantic' friend. Except he is acting like a typical 'nice guy' and whining about how long it's been since he's had sex cause he's TOO nice. gag. LOL That whole "I don't objectify women...do you have any friends you can hook me up with?" thing makes my soul cry. Please don't let him be a future incel. I want to like him. I want him to just be a little misguided about niceness lol. Didn't Carrie tell Charlotte the story of her date from the beginning of the episode? Charlotte wants romance...if I was her friend I'd be like "hey, he literally ghosted someone he was about to move in with. That's not romance territory." Oh man and then he hooked up with Samantha. Did she know Charlotte was going on a date with him? Messy. LOL I love how Skipper is "too nice" but doesn't actually take no for an answer and pulls her back and kisses her. Luckily she was into it, I guess haha.

I don’t think I’ve seen the entire series due to access to HBO when it was airing and I just haven’t gotten around to watch now that I do have it available. It’s so completely different than my life that I don’t relate to any of the 4. Even though I actually did live in NYC when I was 22 but I was a super shy nanny and basically only when to shows with another nanny friend or to clubs with my older brother.
