Similar to this show it was pretty cheesy. But, mind you it was also made for kids.

I'm so glad you joined! The group is active, but I think it's a community that you will love!

Kristen J

well ive never dissected a frog but in my middle school we did dissected a small squid. and if we didnt have a substitute teacher that year we would have had the chance 2 eat it. we couldnt because the substitute didn't have the knowledge of how 2 eat it safely without the poison and the actual teacher was out that day. and in my dads anatomy class he used 2 have them dissect small pigs. so i have heard of real dissections but no never frogs

Heather Hannigan

hmmm... Galavant might need a casual watch from me :)

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

Dollhouse came from the same mind of Joss Wheadon - so if you liked it - you will also love Buffy. Galavant very much paved the way for shows like Schmigadoon, though it sadly never got the recognition it deserves. There are however 18 episodes in total, of the 20 minute mark with a minimum of 3 original songs each. You could just sample a few of the songs and react to them (I will patiently wait until you have more time for a full length reaction 😌)

Ashtara Levin

Also, it gets better and better with every season, so even if you do feel a bit of a lag - know that it only improves.

Ashtara Levin

I took driver's ed and was terrible at it. Then failed my driver's test the first time. Definitely was mostly due to driving anxiety. Especially when I'm being graded/watched by people.

Jennifer Lawrence

Then definitely give it time. Buffy fans are passionate, and will join you on your journey. It’s less controversial than Supernatural so will get more engagement.

AmosRambles

I feel a Craft movie reaction watch party possibly on the horizon 😂. No pressure of course.

AmosRambles

All of The Nevers is coming out today? In Roku. Original 6 episodes and last 6. It's not really patreon or yt vibe, but do good. Same behind the scenes people as Dollhouse, Firefly, Buffy, etc. Galavant was super fun. I think only 30 minute eps. And so much adult Disney vibes. But yeah... Soooooo many fun things

ashinscribbleland

Exactly! I have no clue. She was a very odd teacher. And probably my least favorite until 4th year of college?

ashinscribbleland

There's 2 musical episodes tooooooo lol but only one is... not awkward and like secondhand embarrassment. But yeah it's very campy a lot of the time and the stunts and sound effects etc are ridiculous. But it's also so good once you get past the ridiculous.

ashinscribbleland

I think i rmemebr that movie being really bad.

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

thank you! Yea I'll be watching it for a while. I really want it to be successful because this whole show brings back high school memories haha

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

yea i loved Dollhouse. Watched that forever ago! I have thought more about Galavant but im already watching so much hahah!

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

YES THE CRAFT!!!! OMG! That was sooo me!! Ok i'll takl about it in the enxt episode

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

hahah! A chicken breast?! How odd. Whats there to see?

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

Im testing out some new thumbnails to see that it gets traffic but also doesnt seem too rude

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

yes thank you soo much for sharing! and also XENA!!! Ugh! My mom used to watch that shpw all the time haha!

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

hooray!! Im usually way off haha!

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

hahah! aDORKable is the perfect term for her!

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

I joined the group! It's fun to see what it's all about, but I'm trying my best to stop reading when it;s a spoiler

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

This is my all time favorite series. I also love watching things with people who have never seen the show before. I love their reactions! I'm actually doing a rewatch with you and TheLexiCrowd (she's almost done with it, but I'm on season 6 with her). I love watching this show so much, and I love that you're watching it too. I had to take a break from Glee because...it's gets harder to watch for me season 4+. I'm actually in a buffy group, that posts daily on FB. I'll definitely post your YT and Patreon, I prefer Patreon because of the uncut reactions. So, it's a rewatch for me! https://www.facebook.com/groups/354314473968/?hoisted_section_header_type=recently_seen&multi_permalinks=10161003646603969 It's called Buffy the vampire slayer fan group.

Kristen J

Yeah, I need to actually start Buffering... I've heard a lot of the songs through JOY's twitch streams, so it has to be great :D

Cody M

There are so many references through the 7 seasons that are relevant to later episodes or their careers post Buffy. It’s a fun game to play once you have watched it numerous times.

AmosRambles

Yes - I was talking about Buffering the Vampire Slayer (Though now that they have completed Buffy it has been renamed to just Buffering - a Rewatch Adventure. I'm still connected to them now that they have moved to The X-Files

AmosRambles

Yeah - Buffy has a lot of Monster of the Week episodes. Pretty much all of them are decent to great! If people mention episode names, don't google them! I assume that Amos is talking about Buffering the Vampire Slayer - a podcast by Jenny Owen Youngs and Kristin Russo (they were married at the time, then divorced midway through). That group will definitely be very into this... and I might watch your youtube compilation a few dozen times in case that helps. Definitely try to stick with it for a month or two with the compilations, then the Buffy community should come - they are a dedicated group! It looks like reddit has a decent amount of buffy fans - and I was actually watching a youtube video on Buffy the other day... so yeah I guess there are still dedicated fans out there! I love Willow in these early episodes, she is so adorkable.

Cody M

You hit on so many on point observations I don't even want to mention them cause you don't know you're figuring stuff out and I don't want to spoil it 🤣 I will note that Giles and Buffy being so close right away still weirds me out and even though they continue to have closeness throughout the series, that was more of a natural closeness that occurs over periods of tough times. Beginning that close always felt creepy. Like he was in a grooming role. I'm glad they pushed him in a more fatherly direction. Xander's constant nice guy routine towards Buffy in this season and partially the next just rub me the wrong way. He never fully grew on me as a character but he does eventually grow. Willow. Sweet, lovely Willow. So much foreshadowing in this episode that I never really looked back on even in the numerous times I've watched this show. Cheesiness is my favorite superhero trope. You'd love Legends Of Tomorrow. It's so amazingly cheesy and they actually have a bunch of musical numbers too even though it's not a musical lol

Cory James

If you're liking Buffy special effects..... XEEEEEEENNNNNAAAA It's awesome! But again gotta get past the first season. (will def start sharing Buffy and other things on tumblr bc I don't think you have any following there? Tell me if you want more promo they're)

ashinscribbleland

I'll share where I can. I think you need to stick it out for a bit to build a library of Buffy episodes. People want to see that you're going to stick with it before committing to Patreon. I won't even subscribe to a YouTube channel until I see that a creator is posting consistently and sticking with something. Also, yeah, more positive information on the YouTube posts would be helpful - more 'this is awesome' types of clickbait.

Carleen

Never took driver's ed in high school, but it did take me 3 times to pass my test bc i had zero clue what a three point turn was..... And you know... Anxiety. I totally had a spaghetti strap nylon dress that matched Cordelia's green shirt. Never had to dissect anything except a chicken breast in 4th grade 😂 not kidding... We were told to bring in defrosted chicken breast and kitchen scissors.....

ashinscribbleland

Wait, wait, wait... College cheerleader? Did I hear that right? Pics! I did nothing fun in college. Peaked in high school band before family drama and yeah mostly online (state school) classes. You talked about kids trying voodoo type things in high school and omg.... Practical magic was my junior high. And the craft?! 😂

ashinscribbleland

Buffy theme vs The Offspring "Kids are Alright" Also, Giles was in one ep of Galavant. Watched it? If I'm not mistaken they legit talk about themselves as the scooby gang at some point. I know first few episodes I was all OMG my childhood! But yeah, the cheerleaders lololol conservative by the cheerleaders in my junior high (and the dance team). Like 7th grade cheerleaders were dressed like glee. It's just so weird bc other aspects of Buffy would not pass dress code. (I think still decently conservative in the show at this time) Amy lowkey reminds me of Brittney (glee). Looks maybe? Or just bluntness? You've mentioned Dollhouse and Firefly and now Buffy (and maybe Angel?).... You should check out The Nevers <3 originally 6 episodes HBO (4/8 12 episodes in Roku channel). So much love for Willow.

ashinscribbleland

Will be sure to promote the YouTube Edits of the Series watch in the Buffering Group once the pilot episode goes live. Your Clickbait Thumbnail titles may put off some avid fans at first - a lot of fans love the show unconditionally, and don't like when reactors are critical. If you can show that you love and enjoy the series, the fans will come. But you may need to give it time on YouTube for it to propagate - The fans will come if you continue, but if you drop it too early or are not releasing at a consistent pace early on, you may lose potential fans

AmosRambles

I think it's funny that Buffy said jeepers because Sarah Michelle Geller 7 years later played Daphne in Scooby Doo.
