I woke up this morning…

What a trip!!
Totally don’t feel 40 at all. Or at least not what I had always envisioned 40 looked like. I always though forty was old, wrinkled, financially stressed, 2-3 kids, suv driving, mortgaged house paying, multi tasking mother. ( my sister has that and she loves it, so to each their own)
Yet here a stand ( or more like here I lay since I’m still in bed sleeping in) youthful, happy, world traveling, loving my “job”, ‘98 Corolla by choice, no mortgage, no kids, no “legal” marriage, rebellious me choosing whatever the fuck I want with my life! THAT doesn’t feel like the forty year old woman I once thought of.
I make my own life regardless of what my old conditioning says it should be. I break the rules of my cultural conditioning. 💪
I don’t feel the old forty.
This is what MY FORTY looks like!
And it feels AMAZING!!
