Especially for Girl On Fire, American Boy, Every Breath You Take and Mustang Sally. I can think of parts of those performances that are better than what was chosen here. Hope that's ok to say. 🙈 As for a part three, you should compare these: Sam and Rachel singing A Thousand Miles to the original version by Vanessa Carlton The New Directions boys singing I Saw Her Standing There to the original version by The Beatles Starchild singing Marry The Night to the original version by Lady Gaga Marley singing Wrecking Ball to the original version by Miley Cyrus Jake and Marley singing Nasty/Rhythm Nation to the original version by Janet Jackson Rachel singing Glitter In The Air to the original version by Pink Santana singing Alfie to the original version by Cilla Black And just for shits and giggles, the Glee cast singing What Does The Fox Say to the original version by Ylvis. 😂

It’s really hard for me not to be biased. There’s is just so much more behind the GCVs than just the lyrics, vocals, and production.

Also surprised you received hate for picking Barbra over Lea considering Barbra is one of the most acclaimed vocalists ever.

2023-01-03 17:26:21 +0000 UTCI agree with your choices when listening to the two versions of Girl on Fire Alicia Keys' version had way more a kick to it and had more power. I love the cover and listen to both versions all the time as it's one of my favorite songs and I love both versions but Alicia Keys' was a lot better in those recordings. Somebody on TikTok once pointed out in the song Rather Be that when she sings the No No No No No place I'd rather be part that it sounds like she is singing No No No No No no Greys Anatomy and now that's all I hear when I listen to the song no matter which version I listen to.

Your editor still will have so many songs to choose from and they’ll only keep growing along with the watch parties. Also, your Patreon members who are watching GLEE for the first time will also be able to view the songs in context and maybe not come after you.
