I actually like when he tries holding it over her that he's the one there when she gets out of jail that she points out that she didn't ask him to be there so not to hold being there over her when she's upset about something. Also the fact that even if she didn't do it in quite the right way that at semi finals she told him to back off when he tried intersecting himself into Beca and Audrey's argument because unless she asked him to hop in and confirm he shouldn't have jumped in like that

2023-03-15 04:30:04 +0000 UTCI have *so* many feelings (and useless trivia) about this movie and the follow-ups. I mean I was so obsessed with this. I'm not sure if I'm the only one here that really ships Becca and Chloe (though there is a huuuuuge random for them that they also indulge). I really like Skyler, but there are so many reasons why he's bad for Becca (sorry, Audrey! I'm biased). Some fun details.... The girls have all talked about how prep for the movies was been like bands camp. They are truly a great group of friends that go beyond just the movies. If you check any of their instas you'll see that they've started super close to. They have sleepovers and rollar skating parties and islands birthdays etc. Brittany Snow (Chloe: who really did end up with nodes) and Kelley Jackle (Jessica; the blonde that gets nearly no lines) were roommates for years. Kelley was in A Cappella through college. Not only did she help train the other girls just bc she's awesome, but her musical career followed that of the movies. From struggling group to fighting their way to top nation competitiors. She also has a few videos on YouTube (including a song with postmodern jukebox, which is super fun). Kelley and Shelley Ranger (Ashley--the other quiet one) both have amazing voices. The third soundtrack includes a version of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" where you really get to hear how awesome they are. I absolutely *love* that Benji (Ben Platt) is the only reason they make it to the last competition. It's a blink or you miss it moment, but during their second to last performance he notices the mom of the excellent singer casting a bag for the lead singers high school and (assumably reports this) and that's how they get disqualified and The Bella makes it to the finals. One more side note re the franchise, during covid they did a quarantine video of them at their homes singing "Love on Top" for a unicef fundraiser just bc they care. The movies were already over and they weren't angling for anything. They're just great girls. <3

Dean has written songs for Rhianna, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Florence + The Machine, Drake, and so many others. She's pretty damned awesome.

Even though it's now 5:30am here in Britain haha. 🤷 This really is a great movie, even though I always have to cover my eyes for the puke parts lol. I was really invested in the Jesse and Beca relationship, their chemistry is amazing. But unfortunately Skylar is only in a couple of scenes in the second movie and he isn't in the third one at all. Which is a shame, but they're still great movies. I look forward to watching those with you too. Although you have a habit of not completing trilogys lol. You've still only watched one High School Musical movie and one Zombies movie. 😂 Oh and also you mentioned liking Boyz 2 Men in this watch party, which made me think that you HAVE to do a watch party for Grease Live. It was a 100% live adaptation of the Broadway version of Grease and Boyz 2 Men are in it. Also Vanessa Hudgens is in it playing Rizzo and she's amazing. Broadway stars Jordan Fisher and Aaron Tveit are in it. Jessie J is in it. Carly Rae Jepson is in it. Joe Jonas is in it. Etc etc. And it's loads of live vocals that are really well done. It's perfect for you and for this Patreon. It aired on Fox in 2016 and was a MASSIVE hit, I still rewatch it all the time. As far as I know, it's only available to purchase on Amazon Video. But I have bought it so I'd be more than happy to give you my Amazon Prime login if you did decide to do a watch party for it. I trust you and I know it would be great fun watching that all together. 😊
