2022-12-02 08:04:36 +0000 UTCThe whole questioning who was singing part was bothering me so I spent part of my break during work listening to that part of the song. It's Naya singing and Amber singing the background. It's confusing because the show editors switch to Amber's face and since they are singing the same words it looks like it matches, but it's Naya's voice predominantly and Amber singing background for that particular part. In this particular video at 5:31 Naya starts to sing and then it switches to Amber's face, but the voice doesn't switch. It would be a weird place in the song to switch it up, so I think it's an editing error

2022-12-01 20:55:04 +0000 UTCI feel like Amber was singing the melody in the first chorus for the most part. Naya was doing lower ad libs. If you listen closely you can hear Naya is almost rap singing parts of the chorus while Amber is singing it that's why their mouths are both saying the same thing. However the first part of that chorus it does seem like Naya sang the first line but it could also have been another error in show editing lol.

2022-12-01 06:16:38 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite numbers in the show. I love Lauryn Hill, so I was a little worried when I found out they were covering this iconic song, but they did it justice. Naya's ad-libs on this song are next level and they look like they are having a blast while filming this. Amber did say that Naya was her favorite duet partner and this shows why. They can match each other's talent and energy and their diction is clear even when rapping and they still hold onto the attitude needed to keep the spirit of the original song.
