I have something I want to share with you Audrey. I hope you'll read it. These are quotes from my favourite show Doctor Who. The show deals with grief in a really special way and maybe these words will help you a bit. Because they really helped me when my pets died. "The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.” I love this quote because it's so true that bad things like losing a loved one or a pet are extremely painful, but the great memories you have with Wawa are still important and she'll live on with you. “I’ll be a story in your head. That’s ok. We’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? ‘Cause it was, you know. It was the best." This one makes me emotional, we are all stories in the end. But, even though the pain of losing her will never leave you, the years you've spent with Wawa will always live on in the stories you'll tell about her life. "When you’re a kid, they tell you it’s all: grow up, get a job, get married, get a house, have a kid, and that’s it. But the truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It’s so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.” This is really true. In this world there are dark moments and bad times, like losing Wawa. But there's so much good and so much beauty in the world. Never forget that. Don't let your grief consume you, you'll get through this I promise. “Letting it get to you. You know what that’s called? Being alive. Best thing there is. Being alive right now is all that counts.” You're very upset right now and you should be, that's what makes you human. And it's ok. Don't hold anything in, let it all go. That will help with the healing process. "You can spend the rest of you life with me, but I can't spend the rest of mine with you. I have to live on." And this isn't just true of an almost immortal alien, this is also true for humans and our pets. For the majority of people, we will outlive our pets. Many of them. And it hurts so much when they leave us. But we have to live on because this is what life is like. It's a sad fact. But the good times we've had with them and the memories we have are reasons to live on and to keep going. That's what they'd want us to do. Our pets love us truly and unconditionally. I'm sure they'd want us to be happy. So I hope you have read this and I hope it helps you a bit. 💕💕
