High School Musical Watch Party

I for sure think you should watch the second and third movie! It's a satisfying conclusion overall and I maintain the opinion that all three movies are fantastic and remain the best dcom series.

I know I’m coming late to the conversation, but there really is an East High in Salt Lake City, Utah, where they filmed High School Musical. And, yes, there is a West High and a South High, too. I played high school basketball and actually played in that gymnasium. (We lost.) So that’s my very slight brush with fame, playing basketball on the same court with Zac Efron—though many, many years apart!

This was an awesome 👏🏼 🤩 react. 😉 Zac Efron (Troy Bolton) was about 17 / 18 years old in this movie. 🎥 It came out when he was about 18 / 19 years old. At that point, he had already been acting 🎭 since he was about 14 / 15 years old. [ They were all around the same age. ] 🔢 Vanessa Anne Hudgens (Gabriella Montez) does not 👎🏼 use her middle name anymore. She was 18 / 19 years old in the movie 🎥 and it came out when she was 19 / 20 years old. She has been acting 🎭 since she was about 13 / 14 years old. Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay Evans) and Lucas Grabeel (Ryan Evans) are supposed to be super extra 😅 and over the top. They actually have nice voices, 🎤🎶 the entire cast does. It would be cool 😎 if you could do a vocal journey of the characters from HSM, including supporting characters. 👀🎉 It would have been cool 😎 if students were this accepting. I think that is what made these musicals 🎤🎶 so popular, 🤩 (aside from all the actors, 🎭 singing 🎤🎶 and dancing💃🏼🕺🏼) because it gave young people hope 😌 that they could just be themselves 👌🏼 and labels 🏷️ did not matter. I hope 😃 you get a chance to do watch parties 👀🎉 for HSM 2 and HSM 3.

Zac’s voice was transition during that time and he didn’t have time to record the songs so they had Drew Seeley sing for him in the first movie. Also I realized that the dubbed venessa in some parts where her voice is lower

why are they acting like a 5'8 kid that messes up free throws when emotionally compromised is guaranteed a spot in the NBA if he only focuses on high school basketball? Extra-curriculars are what builds a college application

I didnt like these movies when they first came out but my sister loved them so i have definitely seen the at least a few times. However recently i have rewatched them and i have grown to appreciate these movies a little bit more. The first high school Musical was definitely low budget and the second and three movies were definitely better quality in terms of acting story and music also the audio quality is way better. From what I remember Zac Efron wasn't necessarily A bad singer he just wasn't confident and is seeing abilities and that's why they dumped his voice but in the other two movies he does use his real voice

While I understand the feeling, the theatre is about embracing everyone instead of trying to sabotage other people. Given that Sharpay had been in every school production up to that point, essentially gate keeping the lead role, it was time for someone new. And I don’t appreciate how she treated Kelsey. It’s her show. She should have some say.

My High School was gonna do a production of this for our big musical, but since it was still too new(AKA, super expensive), it got axed by our principal. She felt it necessary to basically weed out all of our musical choices that year. After HSM got the boot, Chicago and Rent were next to go, because of subject matter. Then, we lost the rights to Lion King, after someone told our Cross Town Rivals we were considering it (couldn’t have 2 schools doing the same musical). Thankfully, our Choir Director made the smart decision to book our town’s only theater for our production, effectively shutting the rivals down. That sparked a bidding war between the schools for venues for Prom and Graduation. Our school won both good venues that year, leading to a full blown shutdown of their plans.

Yes! If you get the chance, check out her songs Me Without You, What If, We'll Be Together, Delete You, How Do You Love Someone, and It's Alright, It's OK. Those are her best ones IMO. I still have them in my iTunes library!

These movies don't do Ashley Tisdale's voice justice. Her solo music is pretty good, especially the ballads. That said, Sharpay was always my favourite. They try to make her out to be the villain, but I mean.. I'd be pretty pissed if I was super passionate about something and two people from out of nowhere came in and bumped me out. She doesn't go about things the right way, but I can understand the passion and drive for the thing she loves making her kind of crazy. Out of all three, I like 3 the best, and 2 is pretty fun as well!

Fun fact!! When they showed this movie on the disney channel, they would do segments during commercial breaks where they would have the cast teaching you the dance moves! I vividly remember being in my living room in front of my tv trying to dance along lol Is there any chance you could react to the HSMTMTS show? I’d love to know your opinion on the characters and stuff! Specially now that the original cast of the HSM movies are gonna be in season 4 :)

I loved HSM when it came out. My sisters and I watched a special on Disney where you watched the movie and learned the choreography in the ads. So many memories with these movies. My favourite is the 3rd one

Please either do reaction videos to HS2 and HS3 or do watch parties. I love Zac's voice in 2 & 3

Very excited for you to get to the next two movies! Drew Seeley is an amazing singer, but I personally think Zac Efron's voice just fits better for Troy, especially with this genre of movie so I'm excited for you to see him sing in the next two movies. The music in the second one is so iconic but the third is by far the best, in my opinion, the music is great and the budget is huge so they go all out.
