Xbox Wireless Headset - Optimized Settings

If you can't afford or don't want to invest that much for the Audeze Penrose X (which remain the best wireless headset to date overall) I recommend you to give a try to the popular Xbox Wireless Headset.
For the much lower price they're still pretty good, comfortable and feature rich.
The big negative side is that by default they provide a very unbalanced internal EQ which very much drifts away from "neutral stereo", with overly loud bass and muffled mids.
Luckily, you can change the internal EQ through Xbox and PC "Accessories" app.
Just open the app, go the the headset's EQ and optimized it as follows:

Now that you have an actual "neutral stereo" output from the headset, it's time to enable the best 3D spatial audio technology for headphones: Dolby Atmos for Headphones
Use the following Dolby Access "Custom" preset for Dolby Atmos for Headphones:

Other than the flat EQ here (you don't need to change it as we've already did this with the headset's internal EQ before) make sure to have both "Surround Virtualizer" and "Volume leveler" options enabled.
Those will really make a big difference compared to Stereo both for music, movies and videogames.
Enjoy ;)

No, the best Atmos preset is a "Custom" one with Flat EQ and both Surround Virtualizer and Volume Leveler options enabled. You can read more here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/63951702
