Call of Duty: Vanguard - HDR Optimized Settings
Added 2022-04-21 08:10:08 +0000 UTC
The game is NOT using/applying Xbox/Playstation HDR Calibration app settings (anymore).
With latest updates the game now (unfortunately) ditched the system HDR Calibration app support and now offer an in-game HDR Calibration with 3 sliders to set (two for Peak HDR Brightness and one for HDR Black Point).

If you have an LG OLED and:
> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:
- Set HDR WHITE POINT sliders (Step 1 & 2) to: 100/Max (which is around 4.000 nits);
- Set HDR BLACK POINT slider (Step 3) to 0.
> you're using HGIG:
- Set HDR WHITE POINT sliders (Step 1 & 2) to: 35 (which is around 800 nits) or 42 (for G2; 1.000 nits) or 55 (for G3; 1.500 nits)
- Set HDR BLACK POINT slider (Step 3) to 0.
If you don't have an LG OLED and:
> you don't have an HGIG option:
- Set HDR WHITE POINT sliders (Step 1 & 2) to: 42 (which is around 1.000 nits);
- Set HDR BLACK POINT slider (Step 3) to 0.
> you're using HGIG:
- Set HDR WHITE POINT sliders (Step 1 & 2) to a value which will completely hide the pattern/logo and then go 1 click back;
- Set HDR BLACK POINT slider (Step 3) to 0.

I think it's almost the same for all these CoD. Try CAS 50 but revert to default if you like it best that way. You can increase texture cache as well

2024-01-01 17:19:34 +0000 UTCYes, as Peak HDR Luminance was measured with external equipment in-game.

2022-08-22 07:36:36 +0000 UTCIs this right for HGiG? It says for the image to be barely noticeable but setting it to 35 itβs staring you in the face
