Elden Ring - HDR Optimized Settings

The game is NOT using/applying Xbox/Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.

The game has an average HDR implementation as mostly it won't exceed 100 nits except rare occasions or light sources that can go up 1.200 nits.

For this reason it is suggested to use Dynamic Tone Mapping in order to increase luminance a bit.

There are still HDR controls similar to Sekiro:

Go to "Adjust Image Quality" from the HDR settings;

If you have an LG OLED and:

> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:

> you're using HGIG:

If you don't have an LG OLED and:

> you don't have an HGIG option:

> you're using HGIG:

In all cases leave the  "Adjust Brightness" and "Saturation Adjustment" sliders to: 5/Middle (Default) as those already corresponds to a balanced/correct exposure, gamma and color saturation.

Comments

No, always stay in FMM with 2023+ OLEDs to leverage the new dynamic color boosting tech

You mean switch to DTM in FMM or game optimizer?

FMM + HGIG on G3 should be good but the game tends to be dim, so if it's not enough switch to DTM

Hey man - do you recommend using DTM in FMM for the G3 in this game? Or in game optimizer? Right now I am using FMM with forced HGIG.
