I agree with RemmyMoon! Basically before Kingdom, there was the show Road to Kingdom, where relatively underappreciated groups (i.e. groups that haven't had their first win) competed for a spot in Kingdom. The groups on RTK were Oneus, The Boyz, Verivery, Golden Child, TO1, ONF, and Pentagon. The Boyz absolutely dominated RTK, eventually winning the whole competition and qualifying for Kingdom. Their performances on RTK basically set the standard for the Kingdom performances! That being said, they faced so much pressure to top themselves and do better than RTK, so that pressure got to them and they got a bit burned out creatively and physically during Kingdom. I recommend checking out either their Danger or Reveal performance on RTK to kind of see where they came from! And if you want to check out one of their songs, I highly recommend The Stealer. They're also having a comeback in August! Thank you for reacting to them :D

2021-07-10 20:19:00 +0000 UTCThe BOYZ performed much better in the previous season of Kingdom. They where so incredibly inventive. They Kicked Ass last season! This season MNET let all the bands use these elaborate setups and props and so many many back up dancers - there was just too many people on the stage. Too much was going on and it took away from the actual performances. It also made more chances for mistakes. Season 1 was way better even if it was crueler in the sense that there was eliminations. Last season I was excited to download from Apple Music the performance songs but this time the actual music was purely for dramatic effect making it just not enjoyable to casual listening.
