It's the same concept about what you can put in a dishwasher, rice, fish, even cereal bowl with rice crisps , will all be cooked by the hot water.
2023-11-04 22:20:50 +0000 UTCI suppose if you were to wash eggs off a firetruck, you'd have to use cold water. I've heard hot water essentially "cooks" the whites and yolks, making cleanup more difficult
