@Chantelle the issue tho is that tyrion is smarter than that. He knows cersei loves her children, but he also knows how vindictive, cunning, and ruthless she is. After everything that has happened, there is no reason for him to believe her or even put himself in jeopardy of being alone with her. It doesn't make sense at all. They really dulled his character down to work into the scenes they decided on.

Sansa called Cersei out from jump, that's why she didnt bother going to Westeros and sent Brienne. She also called out Tyrion when she said she used to think Tyrion was smart. Tyrion became a cock obsessed idiot for thee seasons and we still keep hearing how smart he is.

It does make sense about Dany though, because in the east, she was FREEING slaves and slaughtering maesters, she gained alot of people and earned lots of love for that too. However theres nobody to free in Westeros, its all about politics,alliances, family etc, which we saw Dany struggle with several times in the east, when it came to dealing with leaders/highborns. She not denying freedom here because its already theirs, Dany cant just let people go like she offered to those in east, because shes planning on permanently ruilling Westeros. The east people could go free because it wasn't all hers, so she doesn't have that easy solution here. Dany seems to also be demanding/commanding respect from Sansa/north immediately whereas Jon earned all hes got. Dany has been more focused on the throne & Jon than the dead, (dont mind the Jon part lol) also the North is huge and is bigger than all the other kingdoms combined im sure, so cant really compare that to Iron island, a place where nobody seems to like, not even Euron, and other iron islanders.

Nana-Afia....If Tyrion wanted her dead back then, he would of done it after he killed Shae & his dad, it was his father he went for. Tyrion has only said last season thats hes thought about killing her countless times but hes still her brother, feels for her when it comes to the kids so Cersei knew she could manipulate him with that. Tyrion knows her love for them was real and her only redeeming quality so it's not that unbelievable that Tyrion would believe that.

Dany saying that to Tyrion was her listening to Jorahs advice and protecting her hand. Dany explained why she chose Tyrion to Sansa so what she said during battle meeting was meant to be positive. Danys mind going straight to the throne after Jon's confession says it all. Even Jon looked at her like "Really..that's what you're worried about". Plus she knows Jon and the kind of person he is. I knew the incest part wouldn't bother Dany at all, since she was raised Targaryen and would of married her brother if the family didn't fall. It most likely makes her more into Jon romantically, however shes clearly also seething at the end and sees Jon as a threat to her claim to the throne. Shame really she cares more for that then actually having some family left. She could easily just give Jon the north back, he rules north as king and she could rule rest of the 6 kingdoms in Westeros. I love Dany but her ego is too much, she believes its all rightfully hers and would never bend or give up her crown to save the people. Also this isn't Jons war, Danys was wrong in that sense, since it's everyones war. Jon just selflessly united everyone and risked himself to show everyone the truth/real threat to them all, including Dany.

Dany telling Tyrion that she needs her mind after this war, i felt like it's her own way to say that she cares about him. Maybe she didn't want to say it out loud because of all the issues.

I agree with you. I don't understand why Dany refused the idea of an independent North. She was the Queen who supported freedom when she was in the East. She told former slaves that freedom is not her's to give them, it is their's to take. And now why does Dany refuse that for the North. Writers kind of forgot I believe. Also Dany in Meereen postponed her plans for iron throne and extended her stay in Meereen to make sure the freedom of former slaves. And now she is all about iron throne and "bend the knee or die". Story doesn't make sense or lost the continuity. Tyrion one of the brilliant minds in season 1 to 4 is now dumb enough to underestimate and believe Cersei.
