Its influence remains prominent, almost 20 years later, with the world still in a state of recovery from its impact on humanity. The mutations introduced to our biology are now considered by many as an awkward next step in our evolution as a species, a significant separation between Homo Sapiens and this new ‘Homo Novus’. While most see them as equal members of society, there are still those who regard them as lesser beings - ‘Scarred’ - and refuse to accept them as human in any capacity. This sentiment is largely shared by many of San Tolsa’s ‘elite’, looking down on the less fortunate with cruel disdain.
Waking up late on a Saturday morning in her parent’s luxurious mansion, Dani is introduced to the consequences of being careless at parties. Being the picturesque pride of her pompous parents, their perfect princess is about to have her world turned upside down…
