Patreon Processing Issues

As you may have heard by now, Patreon switched payment processors, which resulted in a mass of pledges being declined as 'fraudelent'. I have about 70 people who have been declined. I normally get about 20-30 declines a month, this is quite large.
I'm going to notify everyone who has a decline to check with their bank to make sure their payment hasn't been marked as fraud. Here's Patreon's comment on the issue:

I send rewards out on the 5th since I see other artists do it and having a consistent date seems like a good idea. I guess I'll PM any declines I have left soon. This is the first time they weren't cleared up in a day for me.

2018-08-03 03:58:46 +0000 UTCI normally wait a day, and then see if everyone is processed or declined (no pending ones left). Then I PM all the declined ones to let them know to retry their payments. I give it 48 hours and then post rewards.

It's climbing back up now but I fell way below my first goal for a while there. I was worried I'd have to start mentally detracting 20% or so from my totals every month to compensate for so many declines. I need to be here a while longer to get a feel, I guess~

2018-08-03 01:01:42 +0000 UTCI wish they more communicative about it, at the least. Payment processing stuff is really complicated, so I don't envy them, but it seems we always find out about these issues after they happen.

2018-08-03 00:32:44 +0000 UTCI checked to make sure my payment went through for Ya! It sure did! I noticed this too. I was going to ask if having nearly 30% of my patrons declined was normal since I'm pretty new. I guess not. Hope this is cleared up soon.

2018-08-02 22:25:40 +0000 UTCMine got caught up in it, but I just told it to retry and it went through. Not your fault, Kad, but I wish Patreon would get their heads out of their asses and back in the game. They seem to be running into a lot of problems.
